I highly recommend Jim Molner from A Hold on Mold. Not only is he knowlegeable & professional, he is also honest, a rare quality to find these days. Jim gave me the advice to purchase an Accurate Temp & Humidity device so I could keep an eye on my humidity. FYI: I had called other companies who would have charged me just for the visit. Their charge did not include any treatment.

We were selling out home in Blakeslee, PA and had a mold issue. We found Jim's company in the Tanglwood Lakes paper and called him. Jim was the ONLY company to call back. Not only that, because of how much rain and mold EVERYONE has in the Pocono area, Jim was booked out solid for a few months and we needed remediation soon as we were selling the home in a few week. Jim heard the urgency in our voice and said read me the report the inspection company sent, we reviewed the report and he gave us some guidance. Jim spent a good 30-40 minutes on the phone with my wife and I helping us to understand the report and making us both feel better that it wasn't that bad.
And the reason I say all this and write this glowing review is that this was all pro bono information. He is a genuine business owner that's not looking just to book what he can but to HELP people in their time of distress. We offered to send him something as he again took his time explaining the report and also offering someone else to help us with a industrial dehumidifier in our crawl space.
If you can call and get booked with Jim, DO IT. He's not only a great business owner, but cares about people and helped without even a blink. We had a mold scare in our home thinking we had black mold and all it entails. We called and left a message with Jim of A Hold on Mold and he got back with us right away (which does not happen very often nowadays) He also showed up a couple of days later on time, examined the house and ensured us we did not have a mold problem. He communicated clearly, showed up on time and sent us paperwork on time, In this time and age, that is rare! IF we ever have a mold problem, we are calling Jim and A Hold on Mold LLC for sure!

Quick service, trustworthy, reliable, thorough, professional, responsive. Completed several weeks of work on an inherited home I'm trying to sell while I live across the country. Jim was fantastic. I called to ask for a quote and received a call back from Jim within a few hours. Every time I called/emailed I received a message back within 24hrs at most, and this was very important to me as I hired him for a job in NY while I'm living in CA.
I had a death in the family 4yrs ago and the house developed mold and other issues in the meantime, but immediately I felt I could trust Jim and his crew to get the job done. He came back to me with a very detailed estimate of exactly what the problem was (a written summary including pictures) and a plan with exactly how he would fix it, and each step was itemized so I could feel comfortable about the price.
The basement had a lot of mold, along with other areas of the upper floors. As part of handling the mold, they sprayed the whole house and then wiped everything down, including inside all the cabinets, and HEPA vacuumed the whole house in conjunction with forced air ventilation. When they were done, the house looked amazing! I have another family member nearby who would check a few things for me at the house, and prior to Jim's visit she was very hesitant to enter the house, but afterwords she was extremely impressed with how much cleaner and safer everything was.
Not only did Jim handle the mold, but he's also a licensed contractor and is able to rebuild anything they had to tear out. Because of this, I also asked if he'd be willing to repair a big hole in the bathroom ceiling (leading to a small attic) so I wouldn't have to find another contractor I could trust to do repair work on an empty house. He also handled all the coordination with a few other business owners he knew and trusted to help with other tasks around the house.
We had several trips worth of junk around the yard and various large items from inside the house that had to be scrapped, and Jim knew a guy who handled all of that and Jim handled the coordination so I only had to work with Jim. Jim also hauled some salvageable items to a family member's house in the next town since she wasn't able to move the items on her own, and helped with a few other things around the house too. Overall, Jim not only fulfilled and exceeded his duties in regards to the mold issue, but he greatly helped with other tasks I would typically characterize as needing a reliable and able-bodied family member for.

This review was sent to me by Jude C 7-21-2016 Molner mold review: Honesty and integrity best sums up my opinion of the mold eradication work performed for me at my lakefront cottage by Mr. Molner. At the get go he clarified his primary focus when undertaking this type of project which was, let's consciously work toward an obtainable solution. He said he would do all work personally, no subtracting. Pictures would be taken before/after of infected areas and any uncertain matters he would consult my approval.
Where warranted, he would offer constructive recommendations such as. installing dehumidifiers or placing fans at strategic locations. He was noncommittal about the cost and timeframe for work mainly because, because he said, "I honestly don't know what I'm going to find. especially under the house." Being that this work was going to be done in Penna. and I live out of state, I would have to take a rather huge leap of faith and trust in this man.

Jim is THE BEST. He was a complete professional from my very first call to him. He is extremely knowledgeable and I felt completely comfortable with him handling the job for my rental property (which is 2 states away from where I live). He guided me step by step, described all of the necessary processes and kept in daily contact with me AND my tenant.
