This company is the landlord of a business we own. We've had several experiences with them being unprofessional and unresponsive, beginning with leasing and now in with consistency in billing.

Critical: Professionalism Just moved into Devonshire Square, noticed many pay to have reserved parking spaces, so I inquired to get one. I have asked several times with no reasonable response. In fact, the staff seemed annoyed that I kept asking. It seems the reserved spaces are only available for select people. This does not seem fair or equitable to me.

I am a resident at a A.J. Dwoskin & Associates property and wanted to send in a quick review: I have lived here for over two years and have had no issues. The leasing office staff are friendly and helpful. They recognize me by face and name and have never failed to meet any needs should they arise. The area is safe even at night and the grounds are kept neat.

There is obviously occasional noises of the surrounding buildings and traffic but that honestly can't be helped. This is northern Virginia and that's basically all the whole area is. Parking is no issue even for guests which can either use a guest pass or a temporary paper one from the office. The hallways are always clean every morning and I have no pressing problems with the way A.J. conducts.

Any maintenance requests I've had over the months have been processed quickly with good work conducted (ie broken appliances/water leakage problems) with no further issues arising afterwards. Occasional basic upgrades to amenities roll around from time to time like new balcony railings, locks, and carpet cleans. Inside of apartment has all the necessities.

For the price point and area it is definitely fair. There are businesses, restaurants, and schools nearby. Access to main roads is non issue and even though the intersection out can be get congested it is to be expected in the mornings/evenings. Construction occasionally does block things, but even then I didn't really have too much problem over minor inconvenience. Good place to live. Good staff, basic amenities provided and for the rent you get mostly what you pay for. 5/5

This Landlord is a joke. I heard they are pocketing government AID due to COVID Outbreak and telling their tenants to pay rent in full. There is no mercy for these poor small business under the dwoskin umbrella.

I live in one of their properties, Tysons Glen, which I like pretty well. This review is about being able to reach the actual company, as the nice people working in the office on my property only have so much power. I used the "state of the art" fitness center today, which A.J. Dwoskin prominently features on their website, for the first time since summer.

Back then, one of the two treadmills was broken. Still is. Now both ellipticals are broken. Maybe they should cover my gym membership, as their false advertising certainly doesn't meet my needs :D I looked on their website for an email (nothing), and I've tried to call a few times to complain (no one ever answers), so I am venting here.

As a commercial broker I have represented prospect tenants for the shopping centers leased and managed by A.J.Dwoskin, my working experience with the representatives of A.J. Dwoskin has been pleasing and rewarding especially with Mr. Arthur Matarazzo who handled each transactions with professionalism and zeal for perfection. As a result all of my clients who are now tenants of A.J. Dwoskin are running successful operations and happy with the ongoing relationship with their Landlord.

A.J. Dwoskin & Associates has many shopping centers in desirable locations, so I contact this company often when I'm looking for commercial spaces for my clients. I have worked with Arthur Matarazzo on numerous occasions during the past 10 years. He is very professional, extremely knowledgeable, and does an excellent job as a commercial leasing agent. He is always courteous and really knows what he is doing. I highly recommend this company and Arthur to anyone looking for commercial spaces.

I would give them 0 star if I could. Spoke to Arthur Matarazzo to ask about some available place for a restaurant near Springfield, VA and he decided to assume that I was someone who is already I touch with his partner. I have never either called or spoke to someone at there office in person. Way to lose business. No wonder these guys have one star. Glad didn't go any further with them, they've probably ripped me off as well.

A.J Dwoskin & Associates, Inc.'s lease agreements for their mobile home tenants in their parks within VA directly violate Commonwealth laws. They willfully and knowingly break the laws in regards to their lease agreements. The lease has been reviewed by Contract Attorneys and Landlord Tenant attorneys and they agree the contract violates the laws. AJD's leases allow them to strip the mobile home owner completely of their home ownership, privacy, and tenancy rights, and attempts to set up an agreement for illegal utility billing and late fees.

The lease requires that the title to the mobile home have an open standing lien in AJD's name, even if the home is completely owned by the tenant, potentially giving AJD home ownership rights and allowing AJD to repossess the mobile home as owner, for any amount over $600, which is one month's rent. The lease requires the tenants to allow any representative of AJD to violate their privacy rights and search "all spaces in the mobile home" for a "headcount".

If the tenant refuses, the lease allows AJD the right to immediately start the eviction process. The lease forces the tenants to agree to a completely illegal ratio billing and fee assessment practice. The lease refuses them the right to dispute water bills that range from $50 - $90 a month, which equals more than three times the gallons of water a mobile home can feasibly use in a month.

These high water bills are a direct result of AJD's complete refusal comply with Commonwealth laws to avoid costly repairs to their pipe infrastructure, allowing thousands of gallons of clean, usable water to go to waste. The lease removes the tenant's right to dispute the maintenance of the property infrastructure, releasing AJD from any responsibility for maintenance and making sure the pipes are in good working order for fair billing. AJD also creates fake "legal" fees for past due rent and water bill payments after 15 days in the amount of $200.00, even though no legal notices or collection paperwork have been provided to the tenant.

They have violated Fair Housing Laws at Forest Park by requiring residents of questionable residency for their green cards, passports, immigration papers or other identification paperwork. These offenses have been reported to HUD. Their CEO, Albert J. Dwoskin, is Director for Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, however, his own company's ethics are anything but ethical or responsible towards the citizens of Prince William County, VA. A.J Dwoskin & Associates, Inc. victimizes the poorest of society through illegal billing practices and leases that violate Commonwealth laws with no impunity, compassion or guilt.
