Been renting a house from AmmonsPittman now for several years and I am very pleased with getting what I am paying for. It is not a new home and my rent is very reasonable. I like the location but cannot afford a WOW home but prefer a modest home ITB than living in the boonies. I am always able to speak with someone in regards to any issues that I might have and they are resolved in a very expedient manner, online or by phone. Jason and Dawn are most helpful and personable. I would highly recommend renting from them and would be glad to give a recommendation.

ZERO STARS. SLOW AND DELAYED MOVE-OUT PROCESS. TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION. DID NOT COMPLETE MOVE-OUT PROCESS BEFORE MOVING IN NEW TENANT. SCAM LIKELY As of today it has been 84 days since I returned the keys and vacated a rental property through Ammons Pittman. I have sent 5+ emails as to which I only received 1 single update. On the 32 day mark post-move-out, I received a reply that the owner was still working on repairs and deductions had not ben finalized.

After 32 days, they could only provided proof of deductions for the repair of a single window. The property manager has been out for 5 weeks and Ammons Pittman decided to move forward and rent this same property to a new tenant(s) without completing the move-out process with the previous tenant, myself. The repaired property was listed on rental sites without EVER contacting me about the status of my security deposit refund, or the itemized deductions taken out.

The new property manager is Jason Pittman and I have called several times just to be forwarded to Jason Pittman's voicemail. I have asked to have them return my call, but have yet to receive any form of communication. Once this is all handled, I will be leaving a completed review of my experience renting from Ammons Pittman. As far as the return of the security deposit is concerned, they are breaking North Carolina's Article 6 Tenant Security Deposit Act § 42-52.

Husband and I have been renting from them for the past 3 years and we have had a good experience. Last year, we even made a quick move from one of their properties to another with very little issue. The staff always answers the phones and are helpful and kind. We are almost sad to be leaving the Triangle Area. I can honestly say that they do the best that they can to fulfill maintenance requests and answer concerns in an orderly and timely fashion.

If they were ever delayed they were apologetic about it. Great place to rent for those in need of affordable housing in the Triangle area. We wish the company and the staff all the best!

Very unprofessional, Jason doesn't know how to operate a business and doesn't even know his own leases/NC laws. Constant headaches with renting, god bless the property owners who are getting ripped off by Ammons taking their money and doing nothing. They don't follow up if rent is late/they need something from renters they just let it sit. No they did not send out balances each month or call they just kept quiet about it until all the money was due. 30 years of running a company the wrong way. 30 years means nothing if you don't know how to operate ethically and professionally.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Value Please be thorough when moving out of your unit. I paid rent on time and deeply cleaned the apartment and was still stiffed on the security deposit. My previous review was removed but I am adamant about warning others of the scammers at this office.

Poor management, poor communication and undesirable rentals! We looked at one of their apartments that we really liked and quickly submitted all the paperwork and paid all the fees. We were told we were the only applicant for that particular apartment. That was obviously a lie because 2 days later we were told the apartment had been rented. They didn't even have the decency to tell us it had been rented.

We had to call them and ask. They then proceeded to show us other units that were riddled with mold on the ceilings, rust on the appliances, and just dirty and rundown overall. We believe they used their best looking unit as bait to get us to look at their other units. I'm not sure if that "good" apartment was truly rented to someone or if it is used as their model (bait) to get you to look at their other units.

Of course, we can't prove it but we highly recommend you stay away from renting from them. After much complaining, we did get our application fee and background check fee refunded to us. That is the only good thing to say about this whole ordeal!

This is review is specifically for Giovanna w/Ammons and Pittman. Every time I am in need of service she definitely responds quickly and efficiently. Services include, basic information, forms that need to be signed, maintenance, etc. It will almost be 2 years as a resident and this woman has went above and beyond on many occasions. She is definitely one of the reasons why my experience w/this rental company has been phenomenal. Many blessings to this young lady and Ammons and Pittman is lucky to have her.

I have been a tenant for over a year now and I've had a wonderful experience. Anytime I call for maintenance which has been well over 5 times they handle it immediately. They are professional and respectful. Keep in mind that people will always take the time to leave negative reviews and rarely go out of the way to say anything positive. I would recommend renting through this company!

I have never been more dissatisfied with a rental agency throughout my entire life. Going through college, I often dealt with landlords, and management companies; but no one nearly as unprofessional and untrustworthy as Ammons Pittman. There prime motivation is not to help you find a comfortable home, it is to take your money. My advice? Find someone who you can trust to not nickel and dime you.

Please read about my security deposit below. In my case, my lease was broken early because I happen to close on a house. There is a 50% rent charge for breaking your lease - this I understand and cooperated with. However, when my roommates and I did not receive ANY of our security deposit back, it was quite concerning. The first thing we did was simply ask for receipts to the services which Jason Pittman had claimed he used our security deposit on.

Our security deposit receipt (in illegible writing) appeared to have deducted money for "Cleaning" and "Electrical Charges". So, as our lease had told us, we had the house professionally cleaned before move out. We provided receipt of this when we turned in our house keys. Yet Jason Pittman felt the need to charge us additional "Cleaning fee". Next, the "electrical charges".

Our lease specifically states that any electrical shortages are at the charge of the homeowner, not the tenant. This is not the case, Jason Pittman does not abide by what the lease says. He charges us additional $400 for electrical charges for a fuse that had blown in the garage. When asked for receipts for this, along with the cleaning charges (multiple times we asked) - Jason Pittman could not provide.

The truth is in NC that landlords know what they can get away with. Jason Pittman knew without a doubt we were being ripped off but yet it is simply not worth fighting in court over $1000. He has been in the business a long time, he knows what is and isn't worth fighting for. He is in it to put your money in his pocket. My advice - pick another management company.

One you can trust not to make you pay to fix the homeowner's house. Also worth mentioning: When we moved in, the grass was 2 feet high and it took me about 4 hours to mow it all. This was ON OUR MOVE IN DAY. Our house was far from "ready for move in". So Ammons and Pittman clearly do not care about making your home comfy and ready, they care about being cheap and saving money.

We just moved into a property managed by Ammons Pittman. We had a few issues here and there with the property and each ticket we submitted was handled quickly by professionals. We have been happy so far with the quality of service they have provided.

I have never had a property manager respond so quickly. I had a few issues with the house I moved into, and within a few days they were noted and repaired. I moved from out of state and they were able to work with me and get my security deposit via mail. Now I live in a great house in a great neighborhood. Anyone that leaves a one star review is just vindictive and childish.

Horrible horrible horrible. Ammons and Pittman is in the business of targeting young people and low income people because they think we don't know any better. My roommate at the time was negligent and made us eligible for eviction. I did everything in my power to work with Ammons including constantly calling, email, showing up to their main office, and even seeking out legal help to try and work with them. I ended up having to threaten to report them to the NC Real Estate Commissions Office for them to even call me back. I do not recommend living with them, they are vicious.

This team has been great at managing my property. I don't live close to my property anymore and it has been such a convenience having them there to help if any issues come up. They did a great job of vetting the tenants as well as I've 0 issues with them. They were recommended by a real estate lawyer and I would recommend them to you as well.

I have been with this company since 1995. In my opinion, AP ranks amongst the highest in attempting to accommodate both renters and landlords. After almost two decades, their consistency in attempting to work with me remains unchanged. I had a major problem recently, and the owner George Pittman personally handled it and resolved the problem. One of their agents Mylinda is among the best I have encountered. She is polite, professional and efficient.

I used Raleigh Rentals for 13 years to rent my house. They (Jason) always kept my house rented. I did not depend on them for maintenance because I handled that myself. I would use them again without hesitation.
