As a South Lake Tahoe property management company our job is to handle all the management, marketing, guest services and upkeep of our contracted homes. Below are the services that we consider standard. We are always flexible with the needs of our owners, and will do as much or as little as owners desire.

There is so much to write about; but, to keep it short, rude service by Marnie, no response when we're in need, no shovel in property in the middle of snow storm, no call back on check out date when locked into the house with no way of getting out/vacating, yelling at us, telling us to go to HI instead of Tahoe, leaky ceiling, broken things in unit, just absolutely horrible vacation,

Beware of doing business with this company. They are not knowledgeable and they misrepresent their short term rental listings. We had booked one of their locations thru their listing with VRBO that stated that you could receive a full refund if cancelled by July 5th 2021 (10 months from now!). Then when I received their agreement that I was required to sign, it stated that I could only receive a refund if I cancelled within 7 days from booking and after that I would forfeit the first night rental fee and all management fees.
I tried to cancel (17 hours after booking) and they said that they could not help me and that I had to contact VRBO. This is not the way VRBO works. The property manager has a VRBO dashboard that they control and they manage, so they alone can cancel or make changes to the reservation. After they would not help me, I was forced to call VRBO who then had to call Buckingham Properties to get them to cancel my reservation.
I feel sorry for the people who's vacation rental this company is managing because I'm sure that they've lost more customers than just me. Sad thing is that we wanted to rent and not cancel, but just saw a nightmare in our future from the first communication.
