Centra Associates

I really liked renting with Centra! I'm surprised by the bad reviews. I lived in a unit on the 500 block of S 12th St for one year, and only moved for more space. I actually wanted to rent with Centra again but they didn't have any properties available that worked for my needs. They always answer the phone on the first ring, and maintenance requests through the portal are usually resolved the next day.

The maintenance guys are nice and I didn't feel weird having them in my apartment. Their buildings are old and come with issues, but that is hard to avoid in the city and I always found that management addressed concerns promptly. A few examples: our AC stopped working right when we moved in, and they brought us a window unit to use until they could get a new AC for us. We had a rotted piece of wood on our deck, and it was replaced the next day. Overall, I'd rent with them again if I had the chance!

I had a very poor experience with Centra. They were paternalistic and unprofessional. Rent at your own risk

The maintenance team led by Rick and Eddy are always responsive, helpful, professional and friendly.

I did not sign up for an apartment with Centra, but I deeply appreciated how KIND and PERSONABLE Priscilla and William were when helping me with an opening at 1018 Clinton. Whoever the owner is of Centra, I hope you salute them. Priscilla helped me over the phone, and she understood that I needed the person in the unit above my possible unit to be there and walk around so that I could hear the sound from above.

I called back a day or two later, and Priscilla said, "Is this Mills? We are still trying to connect with the tenant in the unit above." I really appreciated the effort she made. William showed me the unit and was very helpful with getting the tenant in the unit above me to be there and to walk around. He listened to my concerns about my overall search and gave me his candid opinion about what might be best for me. He was on time in showing me the unit and very knowledgeable about the building. I really hope the Centra owner knows how good these employees are.

Great management company! The maintenance staff is very attentive, friendly, and professional. Service tickets are also addressed very quickly. Beautiful and unique rental properties that are hard to come by in the Philly area!

BEWARE. Most unorganized, unprofessional management company I've ever encountered. They straight up lied in their listing about the amenities of the apartment. To continue their lies, the woman giving our tour knew less about the apartment than we did. She didnt even know if it was occupied when we toured, and she perpetrated lies that the listing did. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. People like this don't deserve your business.

This company has really wowed me from our first interactions setting up a time to tour properties, to actually going to look at their beautiful propteries, to now with their great communication skills.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness Had multiple mice issues and other issues in my unit which they blamed on me even though the building was in disrepair.

If you are looking for an apartment in Philadelphia, I highly recommend centra assocaites. The staff was great and made this process so easy for me! They were very accommodating to my needs. Highly recommended!

Such a wonderful company. I was impressed from the beginning with their professionalism during apartment showings. Upon leasing with them my opinion has only improved, they are friendly very responsive to email and maintenance requests. Would strongly recommend!

-Poor snow removal.
-Frequent power outages.
-Noisy neighbors that landlord did nothing about.
-Rude staff.
-Sneaky, tried to withhold security deposit, and requires increased time to return when error pointed out to them.
-No dogs allowed when signing contract, but then dogs allowed in building but no notice given to other clients who had allergies.
-Mold in hallways.
-Hallway and common areas not clean, lightbulbs not replaced.
-Rent went up $200 in 2 years and NO changes were made to apartment.
-Outside doors not secure, frequently left open.
