Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, Value Worst management company on this side of a Georgia! Not even worth 1 star! Rude! Unresponsive! Unprofessional! Forget calling them they will NOT answer and flat out says messages will not be returned! Once you sign that lease communication is OVER! Do not rent with them!

I own 4 units in Burleson, TX. Chaucer is managing all of them. It seems that they are doing a good job at managing tenants. However over the past 2 years I have experienced a vacancy rate much higher than average at 11%. Though the rental market is tight in that area This is mostly because they have not been pro-actively providing rent recommendations, and as a result my units are not financially attractive.
They also market the rentals to just a few channels. And they will take a large lease commission for this! As a result I've lost 3 months of rent to other owners who have been better served by another management company. Their statements are pretty much a work of art in illegibility! I cannot recommend Chaucer at this point, unless (possibly) if you outsource the tenants replacement part to someone else who is more efficient (which should not be much of a problem).
