Services
Classic Property Management, Inc. is a family owned and managed firm. Our family has been involved in many aspects of real estate for over 40 years. We have lived in the Northland (Clay and Platte Counties) all of our lives. We have extensive knowledge of the area, rental market, as well as many referral connections.
As Is - an appliance such as refrigerator, washer or dryer that come with the property but will not be repaired or replaced should it break during your lease. Classic Property Management does not use Craigslist for advertising of any homes for rent or any other services. If you find one of our homes listed on Craigslist, please report it and note that the information regarding the home is most likely inaccurate.
Upon approval of application, all residents must go through the pet screening regardless if you own a pet or not. A welcoming environment is paramount to all of our residents. To help ensure ALL of our residents understand our pet and animal-related policies, we use a third-party screening service and require EVERYONE to complete a profile (No Pet/Pet/Animal).

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY, they don't care about their tenants quality of life. They'll move you into whatever horrible property they have and when it's time to move out they claim everything is severely damaged to keep your deposit. They're scam artists that gouge you for the poor quality of homes they have.

Viewed one of their properties to find a door knobs broken, stove knobs broken and bad paint jobs. Tried calling for 2 weeks in a row to ask about the property and if things would be repaired. If so I needed to inquire about prior applications so that I didn't waste $50 on the application fee. Never recieved a call back after leaving my name and number. I wouldn't rent from this company!

Terrible -- terrible people, terrible company, terrible experience. I could post a novel on how they not only operate in a shady manner, but their brokerage license should be revoked for violations in their ethics and MO State laws.

I have lived at a classic property for going on 4 years, I believe . We have zero complaints, no issues with paying rent or putting in service requests. Any time we reach out we get a response within a good time frame. I work in the multi family industry and understand what it takes to manage a property and follow guidelines/leases. Classic has been great so far and recommend to anyone looking.

I am reviewing Classic Property Management from an owner's perspective. They have been very attentive to details and they really care about their clients - both renters and owners. They really work hard to inspect our properties and make good recommendations so that the next tenant will have a great experience moving in. My husband and I used Classic Property Management to manage our property for about 2 years. Classic was the second company we used during the time we had this property for rent. They rescued us from a terrible management company and walked us through the transition step-by-step. I can't say enough good things about this company and the professionalism we experienced.

We sold the property which concluded our business with Classic but should we ever reenter the landlord business again, we won't call anyone else. They are absolutely wonderful to work with.

WORST RENTAL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. I had amazing rental history until the terrible day I found a listing from Classic Property management. I moved from Arkansas back to KC and wanted to live in Platte City to have my 2 kids close to my parents. I had my mother go look at the house for me first after I saw it online. She went in and all of the windows and doors were open and there was a strong smell of sewage.

They let her see the entire home EXCEPT the master bedroom and bath stating they were "had a bathroom issue and were cleaning it" I went down a few weeks later and loved the home. The only thing was that rotten egg smell that I kept noticing. I brought this up and they assured me that there was a previous issue but it would be resolved before move in.

The smell was not there the first few weeks after we moved in. After that the smell would happen randomly at different times of the day so we put in a service request- guy came out - said nothing was wrong even when we showed him the POND forming about the septic tank in the backyard. We also told them ( 2 months into lease) that there was a spot forming on the ceiling in the family room that was directly under the toilet- again, guy comes out. nothings wrong, the toilet is just "too big" so they replace it. months later we are making maintenance requests as the drywall on the ceiling starts PEELING off. (really? no problem there) Around November (we moved in February) is when the smell started to come but not leave.

They kept telling me everything was fine. I tried sprays, plug-ins, carpet cleaner, bleach. Nothing would get rid of that terrible smell! In January of the next year, they asked that we renew our lease for another 12 months. We agreed only if the problem with that smell. At the end of that month, I went into my garage and basement and they were both flooded with inches of SOILED WASTE.

The home smelled terrible. They came and looked but wouldn't drain it. I called the office everyday for 3 weeks! All they kept saying was that it was our problem. I had husband who is a disabled veteran, a 1 year old and a 4 year old who just finished CHEMO TREATMENTS the year before and we were forced to live in FILTH from January- March until they FINALLY came and removed the water (everything we had there was ruined) after we called the city.

We continued to make on-time payments and they still decided on April 20th that we had to be out by end of month. I had 11 days to move 2 kids from a 3 bedroom house and get approval to move into another place. I literally was forced to through most of my belongings away because it simply wasn't possible to move it all in that time. Now they are ruining our ability to find a place to move because we refuse to pay to replace their septic system that was broken before we got there! PLEASE DO NOT RENT FROM THEM.

My wife and I had a great experience from start to finish with Classic Property Management. They were very kind and welcoming, helped us get everything set up in a straightforward and non stressful way. During our lease we never had an issue go unanswered. Our move our inspection was quick and easy. They are very talented and kind group of people and I would recommend them again and again.

We rented a house for two years that was utilizing Classic Property Management as the management company. We had a few issues with the house while we were there, as would be expected over two years, and Classic was quick to have someone out there to fix the problem. We were very pleased with their responsiveness. We recently moved out and the process went very smoothly.

As with any property management company, you will find dozens of reviews that state the company is evil and "stole" all their deposit even though they "cleaned" the house. If you *actually* clean the house and return it to them in better condition than you initially received it, you should have no problem getting your full deposit back.
