This is a professionally run property management firm. Our property manager Julie and her manager Sammi, and the support ecosystem they have with Alex etc. have done a fantastic job of providing excellent service. They are proactive and communicate exceedingly well. DWM helped us get settled into the Bay Area despite a pandemic and we highly recommend them to locals and new arrivals to this area.

Look at the other reviews and take notice. This is not a company you want to deal with. As a property owner who utilized this company to manage our rental, I have never been more disgusted by a business partner and their lack of competence. We took our property off the rental market only to utterly SHOCKED and DISMAYED at the condition of the home.

What was once a sparkling home was now a house that had so many dents and nicks that the entire house had to be repainted - walls, ceilings, cabinetry, doors. you name it. There were actually things stuck to the ceiling that were just shrugged off by DWM. "It's just normal wear and tear." A red crayon was smeared into the wall. HUGE chips in the baseboards were made.

Their response: "It was a pandemic, the tenants' kids were home the entire year so it's normal wear and tear." You've got to be kidding me. I had a 30 (yes thirty!) page document with photos of the damage that basically went ignored by this "management" company. Calls to my liaison at DWM were slow to be answered. Forget about emailing.

I had to call the main office and complain so many times that I lost count. I even attempted to escalate my concerns with the owner - Don. I left two messages for him which he never returned. That is one indication of how much they care about customer service. I absolutely do NOT recommend you use this company if you're looking for a competent rental manager for your home. I had to fight tooth and nail for every penny in terms of reimbursement, of which I received very little.

I am very unhappy with my experience with DWM properties. It takes extremely long times to get responses on our service requests. My roommates and I splurged for a rental with a hot tub in the back yard and it has only successfully worked for a few days during our occupancy thus far. The property owners do not seem to look out for their tenant's best interests. Homes using this property management company may have issues that were not documented in their walkthroughs. Issues may persist from the previous tenants and are not addressed before new tenants move in.

Horrible horrible company. I applied for a rental property and paid the application fee and not once did someone call me to tell me anything, if I was approved or if The unit went to another person. I called them weeks after and Randy said "oh sorry no one ever reached out but we have another person signing the lease tomorrow" ZERO communication from this property management company.

My advice for renters, do not submit an application with this company they will take your money and not communicate with you at all. As for the owners, do your research before you use this company, read the other reviews of many unhappy tenants. There are so many other property management companies that put BOTH owners and tenants first, I suggest trying those businesses.

Lived in one of the rentals they managed for 2 years. Like some of the other reviews they do seem to care more for owners then tenants. They were in such a rush to find a tenant for the property that they didn't really take care of repairs prior to me moving in. I was forced to take time off for repairs that easily could have been done prior to my move in.

It also didn't look like it had been cleaned prior to my move in. I bought a house with 3 months remaining on my lease in the hopes they would work with me and help find a new tenant. I thought they'd be willing to end the lease a month or two early but they weren't. i had to pay for two months of a property i wasn't living in.

They said they'd try and find new tenants so i wouldn't have to pay for the remainder of the lease. They waited until my 30 day notice was nearly up to even list the property even though it was available for two weeks after i gave it to them. I also feel like they were extremely picky with finding new tenants since they knew they were guaranteed rent for the next two months.

Several people had reached out to me since i posted it on social media and elsewhere and was getting interest. Communication wasn't the best either with this company. Often I'd have to call or text multiple times to get a response for repairs. I felt like the customer service was something to be desired. As a renter I'd enter an agreement with them with some caution.

I've been renting through DWM for about a year and a half, and today I had an emergency maintenance situation (Heater shut down and we had spent a pretty chilly evening and morning). I was pleasantly surprised by how DWM, and specifically Brent, handled my issue. After expressing the need for immediate service to my home, Brent was sympathetic and professional when handling my call.

He heard me out, under promised, and told me he'd be in touch. This was tough to hear when all I wanted was for him to promise that someone would come immediately, but I understood that it was a Sunday, and maintenance isn't necessarily a priority when the offices are closed- Not to mention the restrictions with COVID. As skeptical as I was, I held hope, and much to my surprise, Brent called me back quickly.

Not with a promise, but an update, which boosted my confidence, showing he was working to get my issue resolved same day. Within the hour Brent reached out again with confirmation that a tech would come out. (Yayyy!) He let me know that a tech would reach out to me, which they did, and then he followed up again to see if they had. By that time the tech had already come, resolved our issue and left.

I was happy to report back that we had a working heater and all was good. Couldn't be happier. Wellllll. About an hour later, we started hearing a loud noise coming from our closet and discovered the HVAC unit making a loud banging sound. I took a video and sent it over to Brent, and man, he was on it! Our tech came right back and found what was happening and fixed it right away.

Overall experience with Brent exceeded all of my expectations. He did the right thing by under promising and over delivering. He was professional, courteous, communicated exceptionally well, and was very pleasant to deal with on the phone. Our tech that Brent sent was equally as friendly and professional. Thanks for all your help today Brent! So glad to have worked with you! You're an absolute asset to the DWM team!

We just finished a 5 year tenancy at a DWM-managed property and had an extremely positive experience with the company. I found them to be very responsive with maintenance requests, very helpful in working with the property owner to negotiate lease extensions, and very fair in move out procedures / security deposit refund. A very professional, well-staffed company. Nothing but good things to say!

At first it wasn't great because we never knew when things were being changed or updated like drilling a fence into our apt without our knowledge. But recently things have changed and they are really responsive and kind. Any issues we have had have been solved quickly and effectively.

Has to top the list of the worst rental agencies. Randy never replies, Nicole is super rude and their front office is another whole level of being unhelpful. After reading their reviews here gave them another chance, but that just drove me to write this review. Never ever renting from or to them.

Do not rent from this company. Kira was a nightmare to deal with, spiteful and defensive, and they will gouge you for your security deposit. A light cleaning turned into a $450 cleaning after I dared to disagree that we were responsible for paying for additional cleaning at move out. Ridiculous.

We had an appointment with Kristin to see one of the rental properties they were representing. She never showed up. We left a few voice messages and also a text message. One week later and we never received any sort of response. I understand that things happen but to never even bother to follow up is totally unprofessional. I can only imagine what it must be like to deal with them as a tenant. I would never rent a property represented by this company.

We've had one dealing with Randy at DWM and it was kind of straight out of HBO's Silicon Valley. He came recommended from a long-time friend whose judgement of people and the local property market I really respect. We were interested in a property that DWM had on the market for 125 days and had a just reduced the price $200 / mth. House needed some TLC. Overgrown yard, dated appliances and finishes, grimy wall-to-wall carpet. Meanwhile, comps on better streets with better yards and finishes are going for $3-400 less per month. DWM wrote us a strange email after he received our financial data: "The owners want the rent to be $x [$200 more than advertised] for the new lease.

So if you would like to retract your applications I can refund your application fees. If you're ok with the new price of $x that is great and we can move forward." Benefit of the doubt? Either DWM is complicit with a shady owner, or it was DWM's idea to jack up the price ($4800 on a two year contract) after getting our data. Either case it's bait & switch, and I'd recommend taking your business elsewhere.

Just like most of the reviews said the care more for the owners and how much they can get from the renters. If you need something good luck trying to get a hold of any management. They are useless and fake. If we don't rent from them then the owners won't make money. Maybe that way they'll treat the renters better.

My relationship with DWM Properties spans 9 years - likely far longer than most of the reviews written to-date! Over that time I've worked with and gotten to know most of the staff - beginning with Nicole and ending with Kira. I am immensely thankful for their prompt communication, quick resolution of all repair and maintenance issues and most important to me, helping to maintain a stable place to raise my child over this time.

I found the move in process to be just as easy as the move out procedure. I can strongly recommend Nicole, Kira and the staff at DWM Properties and will likely work with them again in the near future!

Do NOT rent any properties from these people. They don't care about their tenants.all they care about is the owners and I guess if you're an owner of a property this is the place to be. Had a horrible experience with these folks and dont recommend any tenant rent with this outfit.

Outstanding customer service! Shout out to Randy who successfully navigated the landlord waters with us! Our rental unit had been occupied by the same tenant for 14 years! Needless to say, there was quite a bit of work to do to get it ready to rent again. Randy provided excellent contact info for the various contractors and continuously checked on how things were going.

He had excellent tenant prospects and had the unit rented within days of it being ready, all the while making sure we understood and participated in the process. He is very easy to work with and I really love how proactive he is in moving things along. Excellent property management service!

The quality of service provided by DWM has severely declined over the years. Their "preferred suppliers" charge exorbitant prices for substandard work. Bills for redundant repairs are passed on to customers with no management review. Whatever bills come in, they pay. Nicole Abbott, General Manager, should be an embarrassment to the company as she will not have a one on one customer problem solving conversation and will make no attempt to "manage your property as if it was their own" as their motto suggests. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for a property management company.

This review is for Nicole Abbott who went above and beyond for both myself (the new renter) and the property owner. She was professional, confident, and kind. The owner thinks the world of Nicole, and I can see why. She treats the house as if it is her own, she takes pride in what she does, works well within what the owner is willing to do, and seems to proactively communicate tenants rights to avoid conflict.

As a former home owner, I would absolutely trust Nicole to manage my home. As a new renter I feel like I have a partner in Nicole who will make sure the house is well maintained and cared for, which is best for all parties involved.

We had a very positive experience with DWM. We lived in a Los Gatos single family home managed by DWM for 16 months. Our family rented the home and moved in during the late summer (the crazy time of year for rentals here, right before the schools start) and DWM's professionalism stood out. We were school district-driven and we chased ads all over town, but by the time an ad was posted there were always already several applications pending.

My wife looked at another DWM property and had the foresight to ask what else they had coming available. DWM mentioned our house with the caveat that it wasn't yet ready to show, but my wife previewed it and we had an application in immediately. DWM addressed the most dire renovation needs just like they said they would, and they processed our application and produced the lease without incident.

The good service continued during our occupancy as well. They had service providers on speed dial, and when we needed help, the required trades were dispatched quickly. The home was tired, so lots of things came up when we lived there. We ultimately moved out before our renewed lease was up, and while their client's (the owner's) unreasonable expectations (in our opinion) put DWM in a difficult position, everything worked out fine for everyone in the end.

We own our own home now and if we needed to move and decided to rent out our place, we'd probably ask DWM to manage it. DWM is in a tough business in a high-stress housing-deprived market, but they were consistently responsive, helpful, diligent, compassionate and honest, even when our interests diverged. That's all we could have asked for.

I have used DWM Properties for several years. His new location is just across the street from Los Gatos High, so he is easy to find. Don is a "Gem" with his real estate knowledge and provides the best of service. I don't hesitate to refer my family and friends to him. When I hear someone is looking for a house or wants to sell a house, I refer them to Don.

I've been a renter of DWM Properties for over 3 years and I have never had any issue with them. The people that works there are always very polite and ready to help. Before renting the property I am currently in, they showed me many other great ones. What I like the most about them is how they take their time to walk you through all the details and they don't mind if inexperienced people like me asks many questions. I'm really satisfied with their services and I highly recommend them! If you a need a reliable agent ask for Samantha, that young lady is amazing :

DWM did not treat us well. They hiked up the rent more than 15% after our first year. Also, did not respond in a timely manner to repairs or things that were wrong with the house we rented. Terrible customer service.
