They don't care about the people who rent from them. You go to them with a problem your having with your property manager they side with them. I've had issues with mine and went to Kory and Andrew nothing gets done it's okay how tenants at the property I'm at at gets treated by the landlord. If I would of known this I would of never rented from them ridiculous I'm getting evicted because people can't do their jobs and make up lies

Been a long time tenant of multiple properties of DTL over the years. Over a decade collectively either on my own lease or subleasing. (Maquoketa Park Apartments - Multiple Apartments, Regency V - Currently living for past 18~ months, and will be moving to Jacob's Place once a handicap unit opens up due to declining health). I can honestly say that when I look to move to a new area, I first look for a DTL owned/operated property off the bat.

I have had my issues with individual property managers, sure, but the upper management has been pretty great all in all. So, for my rating for the company itself, and not for the individual properties or managers, 4.5* for sure. 5* if not for a few issues with communication that ultimately just are trivialities but that ended up costing me time and money.

I appreciate the time and effort that was put into moving me to a downstairs apartment when I had a slip and fall on your property in 2016 and was unable to walk for the following 3.5years. (Like I said, property manager issue, not a company issue itself). Andrew, and your receptionist Peggy have been great when/if I've ever truly needed to come to you.which I truly hate to ever have to do. I prefer to keep to myself and avoid all drama/conflict. This is why, despite anything, I choose to stick with DTL. Kuddos and thanks for being human beings!

If I could rate a 0 and still rate I would. Search virtually any property they own and you will find why the review. They are the slum lords of the HUD game. It is pathetic what they are able to get away with. My property manager is currently pocketing cash for various favors and to overlook many things and the company heads could give a crud less. Drugs, noise, broken down mis-managed joke of a place. HUD inspections always inspect the same apartments and skip the same ones.

Manager and repair man are never in. Rent reciepts never can be obtained so thank god it is pay by check or money order only. I opt for money order for proof of purchase date as I've had to fight a late fee more then once. What a joke.
