Part of my job as a Real Estate Agent representing investors is to obtain very vital information from HOA's and it more often than not is a very frustrating experience. I contacted the Lismore Greens HOA and was so lucky to get Justin McDermaid on the phone. I was so impressed with how professional. knowledgeable, patient and willing to help he was.

After my initial contact I needed some additional information and emailed him a question. He answered my question in a matter of minutes ON A FRIDAY AFTER 4pm! Lismore Greens is lucky to have him.

Big scam Hoa has given us hundreds of dollars in fines and fees that have been disputed. From having a loud dog (I DONT OWN A DOG) to extreme noise WHILE IVE BEEN OUT OF TOWN. Hoa will not disclose who is complaining. Hoa has done nothing to remove the fines or investigate the erroneous claims. I have spoken to every unit on my floor and they have all said they have not heard a peep from us. Justin mcdermaid has shown little effort in helping us resolve this despite the fact we have proven, with case closing evidence, that the fines and violations are Mis reported.

The absolute worst experience possible! The call box to enter our building has been out for weeks. This means that mail is not delivered, packages are not delivered and we cannot buzz our guests into the building. Skyler can't be bothered to even respond to emails of distress. Don't think that this group will care in the least about your building.

I can't believe what they charge for the HOA fee and what do I get? Notices of charges because my dog was barking in the MIDDLE OF THE DAY! Late opening of the pool(July instead of may) because they couldn't fix the pool cover! They don't remove the snow from the roads and we have to remove it from our driveways and walk ways. The lawns are poorly maintained and they NEVER CALL BACK when I have a problem! WORST HOA EVER! As soon as I can I am getting out of this hoa communist rule! AND OF COURSE THEY COME BACK WITH A SNARKY RESPONSE!

Pick pocketing HOA. I am literally selling my first home because of this joke of an HOA.

Desert edge manages the property my condo sits on. They have been great people to deal with and take very good care of the grounds.

I have lived at the Bluffs for 15 years. The HOA fee has nearly doubled with 3/4 of the service provided. The HOA has same day snow removal problems stating that their "crew" was busy as the storm was large. It happens every time. It would be nice to have a "crew" that is dedicated to same day service when it is really needed and not tolerate next day service.

I've had a leaking inside garage wall for years and the fix was never corrected - still leaking today. I've put in several requests to repair the damage stucco on the older part of the the outside townhomes with no action. Several requests each year to turn up the water to help the landscape falls on deaf ears. The landscape is in bad shape and an embarrassment to the homeowners.

My plants in the small front yard are mowed down in the summer and scraped off by snow blowers in the winter. The have a Security company to "police" parking but yet emails are sent to homeowners with car parking issues - the excuse from Desert Edge is that the "board" voted this in. As a property maintenance company they should consult the "board' and let them know the service is useless and irritating to the homeowners.

The money spent on Metro Security is a waste of the homeowners money. Desert Edge needs a more responsive maintenance and landscaping team to keep this property where it should be. On the positive side, the people at Desert Edge are always very nice when you contact them.

Critical: Responsiveness I'm a homeowner in an HOA they manage. They never answer phone calls, even if I leave a message.

I manage property in 10 different HOAs. Of the various hired HOA managers (and some self-managed HOAs) Desert Edge is my least favorite. I care for 2 units in Clearfield Meadows and 1 in Millstream. Desert Edge messes up my billing every month in Clearfield Meadows and there is poor communication regarding common area concerns in Millstream. In Clearfield Meadows I have been asking them to correct a violation for the last 2+ years.

They have yet to enforce this violation even though the CC&Rs are quite clear. I feel that other HOA managers provide better communication, service, and value. Running comments for my records: Aug 2021: Was charged a late fee even though I'm on autopay to pay off balance in full every month (which was paid). Millstream. October 2021: Learned that Desert Edge deposited funds intended for another HOA into Clearfield Meadows' account in October 2020. Inaccurate reporting and advising over the last year resulted in capital improvements to Clearfield Meadows that would not have been made if those funds were not present in the account. Ongoing as of 11/2/21 November 2021: Received notice that my autopay was cancelled. This community no longer shows when I log into Desert Edge's portal. Millstream.

Probably the worst HOA company you could ever come in contact with, which most can't speak highly of any. The best thing about moving was getting out from underneath their reign. I can't think of a single organization that adds less value and takes more from the members. Additionally strong nepotism exist among company directors and board members of residents, strong conflict of interest.

I'd pay more for my HOA if I knew it was going back in my pocket 10x. Green space that is never green, just brown with weeds. Green space removed and prices increase. They'll struggle to tell you where they add value, but they'll threaten legal actions and Liens if fees aren't paid within specified days. The best part is they don't tell you when they are due, just send you legal action letters. Before buying a property anywhere, ensure desert edge is not involved whatsoever.

I live at the Midvalley Townhomes and it's turned into a cheap apartment complex since Desert Edge took over. People are constantly parking on the streets even though it's against the law and Desert Edge has done NOTHING to stop them. When I moved into the complex 7 years ago it was very nice because the HOA cared about keeping it nice. Desert Edge does a horrible job and does nothing when notified. Not surprised they have bad ratings.

If I could give negative stars I would. This is the most unprofessional, inconsiderate management company that I've ever had to deal with. The Bluffs HOA is an absolute train wreck, and Desert Edge takes zero responsibility. Their metro security officers roam the streets like it's Compton, and they hand out tickets like it's fliers to the state fair.

One offense of using your parking pass more than two days in a week results in instant fines. Oh, and did I mention that more than half of the parking spots are typically open, but nobody can use them due to fear of the metro gestapo. The HOA would rather your visitors park on the always-busy South Jordan Pkwy rather than use the actual visitor parking. Then, to top it off, they like to tag on multiple tickets to your HOA fees that you were never even aware you received. Im sure they will respond to this with something snarky, but I'm absolutely done with their ineptitude to handle a simple situation like resident parking.

Desert Edge Property Management has been professional and friendly. When I contact my representative, he is quick to get back to me and answer any questions. They help manage our little community and help the HOA board communicate to our owners about important issues as needed. I have enjoyed working with the Desert Edge team.

As an HOA Board member, we have used Desert Edge Property Management group for many years. In my four years working with them, I have found them very responsive whenever we have had problems. We have some unique property issues and some difficult residents. They have worked very professionally and tirelessly to help us get these issues under control.

I am not surprised there are some poor reviews. Some people do not like following the rules and regulations necessary when you share common areas. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a management company to help your community.
