As you begin to shop for a home, knowing how much house you can afford is a critical first step. The best way to determine your affordability is to meet with a reputable mortgage lender. The purpose will be to discuss your financial situation and prequalify for a home loan. During this process, known as prequalification, a professional mortgage lender will be happy to help you without further obligation to prequalify for a home loan. Before a lender makes a decision regarding your loan, additional information will be requested (credit history, other income sources, etc.).

As a Landlord. Very bad experience for me. They were my property managers for 3 1/2 years. They did not screen tenants well enough. I only had 1 out of 3 tenants keep their lease. When last ones skipped out it in Feb of 2022 of course they said it was not Fickling s fault. Tenants moved out and left no propane gas in tank no heat in the house Feb 6 2022. Fickling told me I could not go in my house.
I told them to get out to the house with me so that ai could at least put in an electric heaters for my pipes didn't not freeze and break. Thry did come and and help with that but I was told it was my fault that I could not get good tenants because I had an old house in a bad neighborhood. They had a complete turn over of staff. We're using a third party to screen tenants not even seeing them. Gave out a code and people were going in themselves with no agent.
I said no way did I want my property shown that way! I never had my house fully rented but only 2 out of three years and that was due to COVID-19 and I went down on the rent so tenant would stay. It has now been empty for 4 months of 2022. Their poor screening has cost me thousands in rents and repairs. We do all repairs and detailed up keep they only procured renters and collected the rent. Managers would not return phone calls or emails.
They didn't care. I gave them one more chance and talked to all managers and told them I wanted more thorough screenings and wanted all tenants on the lease if all were paying the rent. Thru told me they could not screen any better and for me to go somewhere else or rent it myself. I am so glad to be away from Fickling and Co rental management!

What a bunch of bald-faced lying thieves- you'll see a woman named Barb mentioned here repeatedly- she is allegedly a manager for Fickling. After trying to reach someone with Fickling and Co for several weeks I left a review on the company Facebook page, then all the sudden someone can pay attention. We rented a house from Fickling- we took good care of it- we fixed things and paid for them out of pocket- we reported a roof leak.
The roof leak went unfixed- the roof leak led to mold growing in the bathroom- we reported it- again, no one reached out for 5 weeks. In this time we found a new home and bought it- we moved to our new home and for the past 3 months we have been trying to get our money back from Fickling. We should sue for medical bills and damages to our personal property for the mold that grew due to Fickling's negligence. Barb Vorhees is a liar- she claimed she had not seen the report for the house we moved out of, yet she stated blatantly that she knew the condition the home was left in. How is that possible if no one sent a report? Long story short- do not do any dealings with Fickling and Co rental.

6/21 update - tenant has missed the past several months of rent payments and gave a notice to vacate in April. They're still living in the home and the only answer fickling provides is "the tenant is still cleaning". real fun stuff Initial post: I was on the verge of selling off my rental property until Fickling took over. They quickly straightened out the issues and relieved me of my stress. Thank you!

I have had rental properties in the past that I managed myself and it was a complete nightmare. I also had a best friend who was a property manager and her business ended in a complete nightmare. Fickling has been nothing but very professional and very thorough for both parties. I have them managing a home for me and my son has them managing two homes for him.
They have treated me With the upmost respect and have followed through with everything they have said they would do. They are easy to get a hold of even with a three hour time Difference. I live in California my property is in Georgia. I literally go to sleep every night without any worries as a Fickling has handled everything to my very high standards. I would not hesitate to recommend Fickling to anybody who is interested in hiring a property management company. A+ service!
