This review is specific to the Staff at THE APEX APARTMENTS in which this management runs and owns. I would like to say first and foremost that the leasing consultant LAQUITA BROOKS is by far the most kind efficient hardworking employee that me and my girlfriend had the pleasure of working with. We cannot express enough on how much she has helped and to consult us on what was best for our family. PROMOTE HER!

She is the blessing in this company and i believe with the professionalism she offers, she will bring this company up. Lastly, i will also state the staff was extremely helpful and kind to us during the whole leasing process and we appreciate them as well. We look forward and welcomed into our home with open arms by this wonderful staff and appreciate the Laquita for all that she has done.

I normally do not do this but I think that other potential residents should be made aware of the difficulties I have had in attempting to reach this complex. I considered this complex for my next apartment however have changed my mind due to the inability in reaching the leasing office. I've only been able to reach someone once and this was in 2-3 weeks of calling every day and leaving messages with the answering service (who seem to be the only people who answer for this place). I've even sent requests to be contacted on their website and apartments.com - not one reply.

I was trying to schedule an apartment showing but have instead decided to avoid this place as a potential new home. If, as a potential resident, I'm never able to reach the leasing office I can't help but to think how difficult it must be for the residents.

Not sure where to start, my wife and I moved into a 2 Bdrm in July of 2017.apparently there is a small roach problem. Didn't see any until the vacant apartment next door was moved into. Now I see a couple roaches a week. Garbage compactor stinks up the entire building except for the leasing office and lobby area, which the staff conveniently sprays with air freshener, I'm assuming to keep potential residents from the nauseating smell until they sign their lease.

Just got a notice today about another emergency water shut up, for today.the 2nd or 3rd one this year and we are only 8 days into the new year. My car was damaged in the parking lot by paint from their shoddy workmanship and had to basically threaten people to have the situation rectified. The leasing office is open Mon-Fri(but almost always closed at least one of those days and occasionally closes early for whatever reason).

The answering service that almost always answers(there's hardly ever anybody in the leasing office) doesn't do a good job of relaying messages so you have to call to check up on work orders that may or may not have been received. Bedrooms are not as spacious as others have claimed but they're no prison cells. Once the lease is up, we will be running from this place. Not the worst residence I've had but nowhere near the best.

We've been residents of Spectrum since January 2014 and couldn't be happier with the building and staff. We were looking for an affordable one bedroom apartment within walking distance of where I work. The staff was very warm and welcoming during the tour and answered any questions that we had without hesitation. We particularly liked that it was a small community close to rt. 7, no parking garage was needed (I hate em!), and laundry units were provided.

Even though the building seemed old from the outside, the unit were apparently renovated in 2010 from top to bottom and looked beautiful, exactly as pictured online. Just an example of how helpful staff was from day one: the units they showed us were very clean and without issues except for a light but large stain that we noticed on the living room carpet of the unit we chose.

They said they'd work on removing the stain but to our surprise, when we moved in a few weeks later, the carpet had been replaced with a new one! Over time, the staff has proven to be friendly, very responsive, and even got to know us by first name. Based upon our 1.5-years' experience here: ***GROUNDS: The building and grounds are always kept clean and well maintained, we have no complaints.

Parking is always available and guests need to park on the street in the evening and night, where there's always space. ***SAFETY: We've never felt unsafe or observed any questionable incidents. Building doors are always locked and residents need an electronic key for access. There are also several cameras by the main entrance. ***NEIGHBORHOOD: The surrounding area is well-lit and relatively busy because the building is next to several retails shops and restaurants and route 7.

One side of the building borders the backyards of single-family homes and the other borders a small car dealership. A handy shuttle is available in the mornings and evenings for transportation to the Ballston metro station. ***MAINTENANCE: We've only needed to make regular maintenance requests (no emergencies) and staff has always responded within 1-2 days.

There is also regular unit maintenance that we're informed of well ahead of time. It seems to us that they like to look after the upkeep of their units. ***STAFF: I can't speak more highly of the entire staff here, to include management and maintenance. They are always cordial and welcoming and make every effort to address any concerns. I don't know about the experience of others but we have absolutely no reason to complain about staff here. ***NOISE: We've observed Spectrum to be a very quiet and diverse community, which is exactly what we were hoping for. Unfortunately, several months ago, new neighbors moved in who, on multiple occasions, partied late into the night with loud music and chatter. We've complained to management and while it's still a work-in-progress, we believe management is working to address the issue.

Our experience here prior to these new neighbors proved that their level of noise is definitely NOT normal for this community. ***OVERALL: Based on our own experience here and previous experiences at other communities, we are very satisfied with Spectrum and recommend it to anyone!

I've been a resident of Spectrum for more than 5 years and I couldn't be happier living here. Sure, I miss some of the amenities I had at my previous apartment building (concierge service, more social events) but I don't miss paying for them - and the positives at Spectrum far outweigh these shortcomings. I love my apartment - it's the perfect size for me and the layout is more like a home than the cookie-cutter layout you find at new apartment buildings.

I cannot say enough good things about the staff here. I have been dealing with some medical and physical challenges over the past 18 months and the staff has been so incredibly helpful. Prior to my surgery, they installed a handicapped height commode in the bathroom. When I suffered a devastating fall several months ago and was lying on the floor - nude - the assistant manager took excellent care of me, getting a robe around me and staying with me until the ambulance arrived.

The staff is responsive to service requests and everyone is always friendly and warm. Everyone in the office makes me feel well taken care of. I would happily stay here forever if not for the fact that I will be retiring in a couple of years and must consider a less expensive home at that time. I will be sorry to leave.
