Our stay at Ocean Reef 802 was great! Being directly on the beach can not be beat. The condo had a good amount of space for our family. The company was also very prompt in their response when communicating.

I've booked with Gulf Sands for several years through VRBO. Never again. I was told to expect construction during winter months, that's why my rate was discounted. (Non-stop for 3 weeks) Not because it's off season. Last time I checked, I'm entitled to quiet enjoyment regardless of the cost. No more donations from me.

Beautiful home in the perfect location. We loved being on the beach and only 5 minutes from town. The music system throughout the house was very cool. House was plenty big for a mini family reunion (10 people) and we will definitely be back!

Just returned to chilly Chicago from an awesome week at Gulf Sands! This was our 5th time at the resort and we'll be returning next year for sure. Our rooms were clean, bright and well equipped. Alexandria was a wonderful host who was responsive, friendly and helpful! The beach access felt private and breathtaking views of the Gulf and the beautiful sunsets nightly from our rooms.

Couldn't ask for a better paradise getaway. Gorgeous flowers, a huge tortoise we've seen every year right on our patio as well as a friendly egret, a bunny (surprising!) and even a resident kitty! Many thanks to Alexandria for another wonderful vacation. Can't wait to return! Oh, did I mention the spectacular night sky over the Gulf with stars galore visible with no city lights to cloud the view!

We have used Gulfsands for the past 4 yrs with always prompt and responsive service. Very easy to book and to check in.

We went in the fall so of course the prices were much much cheaper, although they still beat out the condos price-wise by far even getting a free night from their "Deals" portion. We stayed at the Boardwalk Beach Hangout "B". The staff were very responsive and informative before getting there, we got early check-in (they said about 1pm it was ready) which we requested while on the way down so that was great they got it taken care of.

The house was really nice, very spacious and accommodating, & clean. The owner just happened to be vacationing in "A" below us so he resolved any issues we had personally. I'm giving 5/5 stars but the dishwasher was broken (we didn't mind hand washing and the owner got a new one on the way) and the dryer didn't work on the "Auto Dry" setting. Didn't bother as we just used the manual timer.

I'm sure there's people out there that would have made that a terrible thing but it was a very nice place. Keep in mind you'll have to carry all your stuff upstairs as it's a house.

We love Southern Sands complex and have stayed here 10-15 times over the last 20 years. However, 305 Southern Sands was extremely disappointing. Mold on the lamp shades, mold in the bathroom. Walls filthy with big dark spots, closets so full of junk you can't hang up your clothes. Mattresses are junk and the sliding door was so dirty we couldn't even see out of it.

There was sand all over the deck and the light in kitchen is full of bugs and needs cleaned. Lamp over kitchen table terribly rusted. We were told that all of these units are individually owned. It is sad after 20 years that someone let this beautiful piece of property fall into desperate need of repairs. Gulfsands Rentals had the property cleaned and offered us another unit with far less view of the ocean.

We appreciated their attempts to make our stay better but feel compensation was in order for not making the renters aware of the condition ahead of time. We would have definitely chosen a different unit with the same great view had we known the condition. Stay away from unit 305!

We LOVED our time in this property (Sunrise Village unit 110) in Gulf Shores! Just literally steps away from the sand and toes in the water. Our unit was ready to check in before our arrival time! We will never stay anywhere else while in Gulf Shores.

Great location. Balcony is over the Holiday Inn pool so there is noise from that. However, likely always over a pool when on the beach. The only difference with the Holiday Inn pool is they alway have water splaying into the pool so there is always a spray noise. This is very minor but could be an annoyance by some. Very well stocked! Always had the dish or utensil we needed. Beautiful view with the windows on both the back and side! Would stay here again.

We had a great stay! Communication and booking with Gulfsands Rentals was super easy. Emails detailed everything we need to know and bring with us. Check in and out was easy and simple. Unit 503 was very clean, had new and stylish furnishings, and was very spacious for our family. Definitely recommend and will still again.
