The apartment is nice, I love living in it, however the maintenance crew is awful. My bathroom floor was leaking into the apartment below, so we needed to replace the bathroom floor. I was told it would take about a week to 10 days, however it wasn't done until a month later. My bathroom is finally done, I've been displaced for 3 weeks out of the month waiting for them to finish it.

And it's a travesty, no part of the brand new floor is remotely flat, I can feel the lumps through my work boots, the door doesn't close all the way anymore, the sink isn't attached to the wall, there is dried grout and caulk all over the floor! And they weren't even going to reduce the rent for all that time in an apartment with no bathroom until we threatened to sue. I could remodel a bathroom better in my sleep.

The common halls and entry way are always dirty, even through covid. There is not adequate lighting anywhere outside at night. Rodents and bugs are constant despite requests for extermination. Mold growth in bathroom is rampid no matter how much you clean it and they never fix it correctly. Requested maintenance on buckled carpets within a year after installation and the management company wanted me to pay for it, even though I just moved.

Most times when you contact the property manager, your calls and emails get ignored. Lease reads small dogs under 40 lbs and there are several in the complex much larger than that. Pretty much a shit show.

Spent the last 6+ years at Merioneth in Ardmore. I really enjoyed my time there. Always had good fellow tenants and working with Colleen at Halfpenny with the rest of the team was always easy. Great place to live

READ YOUR LEASE. Halfpenny will rip every last cent they can out of you. (3 year resident) Since Air Conditioning was not strictly stated in the lease, they refused to provide a window unit in summer. Heating also broke and a cheap intrusive hot water system was installed around the perimeter of the room. (at least heating was a requirement in the lease) If you ever plan of moving, don't break your lease.

You will be charged for every month you agreed to on the lease. I.E. if your lease is until December and you have to break in June, you WILL be charged for 6 months rent AND you wont get your security deposit back. Nice buildings run by horrible people.

I have lived at Llanfair Court for almost a year. Half Penny Mgmt has done a great job with these apartments. They are clean, spacious, pretty updated and laid out well. My hardwood floors are beautiful and I get lost of natural light. Having a designated washer and dryer is also fantastic. It is in the "basement" but it is also one of the entrances to the apartments so its very well lit, always impeccably clean and very convenient. There is a bus stop at the corner, it is within walking distance to two regional rail stops as well as Suburban Station shops.

I have been living here for 15+years and the management and service is absolutely horrible. I am living at Hollow Run Apartments in Havertown. They've had multiple different managements but this current one is by far the worst it's ever been since I've moved here. The biggest problem? Mouse infestation. We catch mice in our apartment every week. It's beyond disgusting because they are rodents and rodents carry diseases.

I don't understand why we have to be living with mice. You try asking the office to do anything for you? Forget it lol all they do is just add some glue traps and say that it will go away. If you are looking for a place save your TIME and MONEY and avoid this place. DO BNOT LIVE IN THIS HORRIBLE PLACE.

Halfpenny are not nice people to deal with. I had a coachroach infestation in my apartment and their reaction was to put the rent up.

I lived in one of their apartment complexes for 2 years. It's only after I moved out that I realized how rare they are. Anne, the property manager, was fair and responsive. Inevitable issues with the apartment (it was an old building) were addressed quickly. Anne worked with me the whole time - upon move in (I'd just moved to the area so didn't have a secure job history in the area), during my time there, and when I moved out (I'd just renewed the lease then decided to buy a home- they let me out of the lease without charging me the crazy fees to end it early). I'm renting in the city now and I really miss having a property manager who is understanding and fair.

I was treated like a human being here while most other places I've rented are super uncaring and either ignore you completely or only respond to your concerns with lies and hostility.

My fiance and I lived in an HP location on Montgomery Avenue in Ardmore. Could not ask for a better location - walkable to the train, suburban square, food stores, bars, gym, restaurants, etc. Neighbors were very respectful and friendly and the building was extremely quiet. The building and its appliances/design are a bit outdated but we knew that going in and everything worked perfectly or was quickly fixed by maintenance upon request. For the price and location this was a great value and everyone we spoke with at HP was very friendly, professional, and treated us very fairly as tenants.

Incredibly helpful management office. Liver here for 4+ years and never had a problem. Maintenance was always quick to respond to requests and overall was very accommodating.

Don't bother asking them to take care of a mouse problem. They'll drop off some glue traps, the rest is up to you. That should really tell you something about how much they care about their buildings. In fact, don't bother requesting anything. You'll be completely ignored. The following is a list of things requested or promised to be fixed within the week of us moving IN: * intercom (hasn't worked for over a year) * back steps (4 cinderblocks stacked on top of each other) * garbage area (a complete mess with garbage everywhere, cracked cement, etc.) * mice * hallway door (slams HARD.

Will wake you anytime someone goes through it in the morning) * parking lot (another mess that is cracked and torn up) They'll give you no notice of closing the parking lot to do construction. Enjoy your $20 ticket. These guys care about 1 thing only: cash. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

These folks are very cold and un-understanding. They much will lie to your face. My father was a tenet of one of the properties they manage and when he passed away they told us we had 30 days to remove his belongings and not to worry about the rent. He died on the 30th of May and They billed us for June! Not only did they bill me they added late fees. So be aware anyone dealing with them that you need to get any agreement from them in writing they certainly don't have your best interest in mind.
