I am interested in renting an apartment with Harrison & Lear's property at Cordoba Apt. The property associate Carolyn Hemingway was such a pleasure to speak with. She shared with me the current units that were available, she allowed me to take a tour. She explained how she can be supportive and help if I chose this property. She was professional, kind, and well versed in the process. I think I will be a new resident.

They do allot to upkeep the apartments. New roof, new washers and dryers. Neighbors are very nice and Sharee does an amazing job, a pleasure to speak with. If you have an issue they are right on it. Very nice area in Carrollton.

I am very thankful for the love, respect, hospitality, experience from the moment I walked through Cordoba's door and dealt with Sheree and Carolyn. I felt welcomed from the phone calls to the appointment in person. Everything was great. I feel comfortable and safe with dealing with the ladies in the office. They both gave me a chance to be on my own and succeed towards a bigger goal. I love my place! I love them both!

Working for Harrison and Lear for about 3 years has been exceptional. From the President, to Vice President, to accountants, HR, and managers it's an absolute pleasure working with everyone. Melissa Cooke is such a wonderful and responsive boss. She is always there for us, and always willing to help with anything that is needed. Jonathan Skinner is just simply wonderful.

He is a great people person, and always has wonderful suggestions. I know I can call him anytime if I ever need a second option. I worked for single families prior to being on site, and Jennifer Hearring was such a great mentor to me. She taught me a lot of things during my time there. I am forever grateful for that. Lora Escalona is always there to help and gives great advice to bettering any situation or suggestion. Lyra Brokaw is the department head for the accounting department, and is a busy women but she is always willing to stop what she is doing -if you ever have a question, not to mention the most kindest person I've ever met. Ender Perez is my accountant and is wonderful with communication.

There are so many others I could name! Harrison and Lear is very family oriented; and that to me is everything. Everyone in this company works hard and gets tasks done. I am very blessed to work for such a great company.

No communication, very unprofessional. We've been dealing with them for two years and the service is worse than ever. They "manage" the HOA of our neighborhood and absolutely refuse to take phone calls (the receptionist tells you the person "just stepped out"). Or, will put you through to a voice mail of someone who stopped working there months prior!

Will not return phone messages and very minimal email responses. We maintain our property and pay our HOA fees six months in advance.would hate to know how they treat people who aren't paid up. If you deal with this company, be prepared for subpar communications.

As managers of the HOA for my property, they are either incompetent or incredibly lazy. They are quick to send a nasty certified letter but are unable to follow the simplest of requests. I asked for pictures of a violation and it took them three months to send four poor quality photos. We had a detailed conversation and then the very next day they send another certified letter, like we hadn't spoken. Make sure you document everything with them.

H&L managed our single family home for 4+ years. Good in the beginning but bad towards the end. Many personnel changes. One tenant duped us of rent for 4 months totaling $4600 we still have not received. They told me, "The lawyers are working on it." This has been a battle for almost 3 years now. They always said they would get back with me but they never did. I always had to initiate the contact to get assistance. Still not resolved. Very disappointing to treat your customers that way. I hope they read this.

This company manages the HOA for my rents property. I have found them incredibly difficult to work with. Rebecca is either incompetent or incredibly lazy. I had a violation pop up for my property. I requested my property manager take care of the issue but due to the vague working on the violation notice, they were unable to determine what needed to be done. Harrison and Lear refused to speak with the property manager directly.

A few months later I get another notice. I requested pictures so that the work could be completed. Rebecca failed to do this. I received another violation notice a few months later via certified letter. I talk to Rebecca AGAIN and few a weeks later I finally received four poor quality photos. I waited 3 months for 4 pictures. I gave her a timeline for the work to be completed and I get another certified letter dated the day after our conversation.

I had to finally speak to the owner. We will see if the issue will resolve soon. Rebecca didn't even realize she was mailing two letters at a time. I had to tell her so.

This company is ridiculous, they try there best to find something wrong so they don't have to give you your security deposit back. $200 for maintenance to do their job and paint the apartment/ house ( they want you to do it), $100 for them to change a light bulb, $150 for a set of replacement blinds, they want the carpet professionally cleaned ( even though it wasn't when you move in) the woman Jennifer is rude, even when you request to do a walk through with her, she goes behind your back and do it by herself, even though you have your move in list of what was wrong when you moved in. Everything that maintenance gets paid to do they want the tenants to take care of it. If you can help it never rent from this company

I would like to thank Harrison & Lear for helping me come to the decision of buying a house. I was a renting a house from them. Every time I had to speak to them about any problem I was talked down to like I was a child. The manager for the renting side was yelling at me in the front office one day. When I was, thankfully, out of my lease and needing to do a final walk through of the resident, I asked to do it on a Friday afternoon.

They said that I needed to reschedule for early Monday. Then they were late to their own schedule appointment. When they got there they ignored me and was talking to each other as if I was not there. I am not the one to complain, it takes quite a bit of mistreatment and attitude problems for me to write a bad review. So thank you Harrison & Lear, I will NEVER rent a house again.

If you're looking for good maintance within renting from someone. You won't find it here. We don't pay people too half way do there jobs. We also don't pay people to not come out when the A/C is out on a day that was 88 degrees outside and tell you to call back when it's above 85 and it already was. I'm sorry but this is rediculous and a sorry company to rent through.

I hope nobody else has to experience this with them. We even had an employee on speaker when maintance was here say "they can do without ____ for one day." Excuse me! Then didn't took a week to get that problem fixed. Poor customer service. I strongly wouldn't recommend this company. If I could give less then one star I would. Tell me would you want to be with out A/C on a hot summer day and you're working hard to pay for it and you're not getting it in return? No I don't think so! Simply Terrible!

We just received pictures of our home from our new management company. Harrison & Lear told us the house looked good except maybe needing some painting done. The house looked terrible. Holes in the wall, kitchen cabinets ripped off the hinges, etc. Oh the painting that was needed was due to Harrison & Lears' painters that didn't even try to match paint colors.

It looks like a 5 year old got into some white paint and had fun painting the walls. Again don't use this company unless you like getting ripped off or you are looking for your house to be destroyed. Negative stars would be given if I could.

A complete excuse for a property management company! They do not communicate unless forced. We will ask direct questions and never get a response. Avoid them if you are either a tenant or a property owner looking for a property management company. The only time we've gotten any sort of timely response from them is when we've basically hissed and screamed and gone to upper management.

At that point, we heard a lot of weak apologies from the so called rental manager Denise and the so called president Bob and their newly discovered responsiveness lasted for roughly a month. They take 10% of rent, so you'd expect them to have some small interest in keeping places rented. You would be wrong.

Harrison & Lear is the management company for our house in Hampton, VA (we currently live in Boston). It's a single family that they get to keep 10% of the rent collected. I have come to believe over the past year that they are utterly incompetent. (I'll try to contain my frustration and give you the reasons.) 1. It took them 5 months to rent the place.

And we had to make most of the suggestions about how to accomplish it (incentives, rent reduction, etc) 2. I've still never seen the lease, although I've asked repeatedly. 3. We get invoices that have random charges deducted and no reason why. I've asked. Still waiting on receipts. 4. We requested 3 quotes to replace our heat pump. 4 weeks passed and nothing appeared.

Then the unit crapped out. So we had to put our tenants up in a hotel and only got shady email quotes via the management company - no actual quotes were provided to us directly from the contractors. 5. It's now March and I haven't received tax paperwork from last year. 6. The tenants never paid the complete first month rent amount. H&L wouldn't have notified me if I hadn't called to ask why the amount didn't match the lease agreement. 7.

We wanted to pursue rent-to-own with our tenants. Despite much talk that it would be brought up, I don't believe it ever was. To sum up, the communication and professionalism you would hope for just isn't here. All I asked was to be kept informed about what's happening, and that seems impossible.
