Kacena Real Estate Management - Coralville, IA

I will not go into the actual details of my disputes with Kacena Real Estate Management since I am still renting from them. However, I can tell you to rent from another company. Many of the tenants who have lived in my building and have since moved out have not received their security deposit back in full--for dubious reasons. I seriously suggest and forcefully recommend that any potential renters find another company. A lot of real estate management companies in Iowa City/Coralville/North Liberty are interested in ripping you off, but Kacena Real Estate is probably the worst one.

I do not expect K-REM to send me my security deposit back-- they will nickel and dime me until there is nothing left. I sincerely hope that other people lean from my misfortune, and stay away from Kacena Real Estate Management. This company is run by a dishonest businessman and an unethical businesswoman. These are the worst kind of people to have as landlords!!!!! DO NOT RENT AN APARTMENT WITH KACENA!!!!!

Wow, of all my years as an apartment renter, Kacena Real Estate Management takes the cake. I really wish I had never rented from these people. If I could do it over again, I would have simply picked another leasing company at random! Seriously though, find another company in the area - plenty of reasonably priced housing is available.

You get worse than what you pay for
Please take my advice and find another real estate company. The apartment, a two bedroom, looked nice at first, but it turned south very quickly. The cabinets were not clean, and the shower had some serious rust problems with it. They obviously did not care about my maintenance requests.
