I did not have a lot of experience with property managers. I contacted Kellogg Agency because they were located in Rio Rancho and I was impressed with their web site. I was in the market to buy some rental houses and I asked them what type of properties I should consider. They gave me some great recommendations on size, features and location.

I am so disappointed in Kellogg. I rented for almost 6 years, I left for medical reasons, and tried coming back but was told by Courtney heartlessly "NO". I feel it was personal and discrimination. I was a great tenant, yes I had a few late payments but always paid within a 7 day time frame from the 1st, a few times as a single mother, no state help, just all me, was told because of those few late payments she would not approve our application.

I am as human as the next tenant. But Kellogg is heartless. I had high hopes to doing business with Kellogg again, I didn't have a doubt in my mind and it wasn't only me she denied was my fiance whom has a excellent renters history better then me, and my son, I mean wow! We are living out of a POD literally she had no care and made it feel personal. Courtney you lost good business with the way you treated us.

We offered to give first months last month's and deposit she heartlessly said "NO" and we more then qualified. Income was not a issue credit was not a issue it's just Courtney did not want to rent to us. Like I was told by her own employee "she owns the business and can do what she wants." Well that's poor business then, I just am in shock the way I was treated after paying off the last house mortgage. I will not recommend this place any more.

Fantastic property management company! They've been managing my property since 2014 and have always been very professional. Truly the best and I highly recommend them.

We just moved into our rental house and so far our experience with the Kellogg Agency has been great. Moving from out of state we had to rely on a lot on phone calls, emails, and internet searches. Kellogg was very easy to get a hold of and were always helpful. The property we rented was accurately described by them. It was very clean and freshly painted.

We rented from Kellogg Agency for two and a half years. We recently just moved out of the property. We had an huge hole on the side of the house for about a year. This was from the stucco coming off the side of the home. Every time it would rain, water would come into the house. We were advised on multiple occasions "we are trying to get a hold of the owner" or "the owner is out of the country" or "the owner just won't do anything about it".

The carpet of the home was horrible and we asked about new carpet or even a professional cleaning. We always got "owner wont do it". In Nov 2017 our rent started at 1275 and when we had to resign the lease in May 2019 they wanted 1500. Yes, we did have have a pet so there was a pet fee however it was not enough to keep the rent going up. When we asked about the 1500 a month, we were advised "the owner wants an increase because of taxes". Taxes didn't go up that much.

We were good renters. We had one issue with a late payment last July and it was due to banking issue. The payment was made in full with the 200 dollar late fee by the 5th. We recently moved out of the home. We left the home in better shape than we got it. Yes, there was a place where our dog chewed the panel on the door, the screen was missing from a window and a few door stops were missing. However, when we moved in, we were missing the screen and the door stops.

We had someone come and cleaning the home. We were still charged for "minor cleaning" of the home. Meaning that Kellogg will not pay for a professional cleaner to clean the home prior to a new attendant. When you move into the property it is the previous owner who cleaned it. They charged us 108.94 for it. They also charged us for hard water on the shower and tub, which was there before we moved in.

This was also brought to there attention when we moved in but we were told "yep, that is New Mexico for you". They charged us almost 300 dollars to do the front and back yard. They were weed free when we left and were cleaned up prior to us leaving. There was no way it costed 300 dollars to clean up the back and front yard unless they got the most expensive company to do it. Basically, what I am trying to get at is Kellogg Agency is money hungry.

They do not care about the tenants. They care about the mighty dollar. I understand they run a business but screwing people over to make a few more bucks is unethical. I do not recommend this company to anyone who wants to rent from them. I can't speak to there business side of there management with owners.

As a fellow member of the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM) I see first-hand the amount of effort Jennifer puts into her company. She is constantly looking for ways to improve services to Tenants, Landlords, and other REALTORS. We can't please everyone - especially in the business of Property Management - but it's nice to see someone that tries!

We were tenants for eight years with Kellogg and the overall experience was very good. They were very fair with us and responded to our maintenance requests and general questions in a timely manner.

Kellogg Agency managed my property since 2005 and did an excellent job in finding qualified, long term tenants. Over an eleven year period my property was rarely vacant. Any repairs or upgrade related issues were quickly and professionally resolved. Never once did I have any concerns how the property was being managed. Additionally, all the staff was extremely friendly and professional when contacting the office and very thorough when answering questions or following up on repair related inquiries.

In June of 2016 the property was put on the market and Kellogg Agency handled the sale of the property which went off without a hitch. I would definitely use them again in the future.

KELLOGG AGENCY DESERVES 0 STARS! DO NOT RENT FROM THIS AGENCY! They have very poor service didnt care about their tenants.when requested a maintenance request they take days to respond! Their rentals are not well maintained.dirty even after they said it will be cleaned before your move in date! The most BIGGEST downfall from this agency is that they are liars they will NOT return your deposit NO MATTER if you followed their move out instructions.

We left the rental property in clean well maintained maner just as they instructed but they still kept ALL of our deposit which is absurd! I am very disappointed and hurt that they could do this to good people we paid rent every month on time, gave our 30 day move out notice and followed move out instructions never gave problems for them to just do this! DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE!

I was VERY UNHAPPY with my decision to use The Kellogg Agency as our property management company. In the 4 months that I have continued the contract with them I have not recieved a full months rent. They have managed to nickle and dime me for money on a monthly basis always making sure each of their charged statements are below the $350.00 amount so they dont have to get my approval.

In trying to communicate and resolve any questions I have, they become very defensive and refuse to validate their decision making only stating that I signed the contract giving them absolute decision making. I suggest anyone considering using them, read your contract carefully, fine print and all and make sure you know what your getting into. If your the kind of person that doesnt go thru your statements carefully and chooses to just pay the money and let them do as they wish, then they are the perfect company.

I on the other hand dont have that kind of money to just throw away. Ive cancelled after only 4 months and have dished out over $3,000.00 to have my house rented, which mind you is only 7 years old. And was taken well care of by us.

Had a horrible experience with this company. Not even three months of leasing our home, extensive expenses have been made to fix things in a home not even seven years old. They WILL NICKEL AND DIME YOU. We even had to pay partial rent because of their ridiculous charges. I regret using this agency! They are able to make charges without your consent if under 350; conveniently all charges were cents below 350.

When trying to reason with them and get answers, they become defensive and argumental. They even have so much as made double charges worth hundreds of dollars within one month. They are very sneaky when it comes to benefiting them. Urge you to stay clear and find a more reputable and professional company.

Jennifer, I remember submitting a review after we moved in and I will be most happy to do an exit review. We have truly enjoyed our house and your great friendliness and service from you and your wonderful staff while Diane and I have lived here. We moved here from Calif. after I nearly died from a rare brain disease, then having to suffer through a bankruptcy due to the many medical bills.

We didn't have many options for housing here, and you welcomed us to view and rent one of your fine homes. I would highly recommend your great service and housing to anyone interested in renting a home in Rio Rancho. Thank you Courtney, Corrine, Melanie, and of course, you Jennifer. Beware renter. The management company does not desire to fix anything unless 7 days has expired I rented from them for four years and during that time the oven went out twice -- each time i was told it was not an emergency and when the faucet in the kitchen sink broke, it was not considered an emergency either. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS FIRM.

Would strongly recommend using a different agency! As a previous review states they will nickel and dime you this is very true. With this agency being a family ran business you would expect a much better work ethic then what I have seen, they take EVERY opportunity to NOT work! They do NOT show properties afternoon, nights, or weekends & also closes their office frequently on days you would not expect them to such as Election Day.

With such poor work ethic no wonder they are not renting properties maybe if they would show properties when majority of renters are avaliable to view houses afternoons & weekends they would actually rent out a few of their properties. I would absolutely NOT recommend Kellogg Agency in fact I would strongly discourage anyone from using this company as I already have.

DO. NOT. RENT.FROM.THESE.PEOPLE. * Please read this and take what I have to say seriously, it will save you TONS of money!* Jennifer Kellogg is the rudest person I've ever met in my life, how her family stays in business I will never know. The Kellogg Agency rents to riff-raff and then passes the dirty, trashed out houses on to reputable people - ALONG WITH THE EXPENSES OF CLEANING IT UP!

They will say they "forgot" to clean your house before you move in and then when you move out they will attempt to charge you for cleaning it up. Don't fall for it, they legally can't do this but they will try. If you are the type of person who minds their own business, pays your rent on time and keeps a clean home - YOU are the person they will treat like a criminal and nickle and dime.

The repair people they use are friends of theirs and they do a VERY cheap and unprofessional job at fixing things. You will have to have them back to re-fix things and eventually Kellogg will try to charge YOU and will not accept responsibility for damage of your property because of their shabby, cheap, quick fixes. Homeowners - Do you like mice? Do you like the smell of garbage? Do you want that in your home? Then DO NOT ALLOW THESE PEOPLE TO MANAGE YOUR PROPERTY! Don't say I didn't warn you.

If you would like to be treated like a total cockroach even though you are paying good money to rent a home, go to Kellogg. There you will encounter the rudest people you have ever met. If I was a homeowner renting my home, I would be concerned that this agency would drive away good tenants. While searcing for a home to rent, they even went as far as to schedule me to view a home with another potential renter.

We were there at the same time - viewing the same house. The other family was looking at me like "please don't take our home away". This is totally unprofessional. Their application process to rent a home is so cumbersome it definitley falls on the side of cumbersome. If you are relocating from out of state, forget it. STEER CLEAR OF KELLOGG!

As a property owner I am very happy with Kellogg. Early on with Kellogg our (new) house flooded when it was vacant. The damage was extensive, but Kellogg was there every step of the way overseeing repairs and warrany work with the builder. They were invaluabe to these out-of-state owners. Kellogg now manages three properties for us, and they do a great job.

We had one problem tenant a few years back, but they handled the situation for us very professionally. We trust them implicitly! Look no further for a good PM company if you are an owner.

Don't rent from or let these people rent your house out. Steer clear! Renters: they will nickel and dime you to death. They are horrible people to deal with for everything, from repairs to move in and move out. Stay away. You are constantly treated like a criminal, I know this because I rented from them for 2 years. I talked my neighbor and a few friends out of dealing with them and they went with a different more reputable rental agency. Saved them a lot of grief. Would give them negative stars if I could.
