Have been a Commercial Property tenant for years and years - wanted to give a shout out to Amber, the property manager - whenever we have any issues, she's ready and able to resolve our problems soonest possible. We really appreciate her professionalism and attention to detail in getting the job done.

I was told late afternoon that I was approved for a property and was calling to bring in the reservation fee today for the property and get an email that they gave the property to someone else when I was not even given a full 24 hours to bring it up to them. I also was judge by my name and income that I submitted and it was clear that it was two separate incomes.
I would not recommend this company to anyone because I feel that they are not professional enough to contact anyone regardless of how many times I have called and could not get through and routed straight to a voicemail. If I could give 0 stars I would

We've worked with Sherman & Hemstreet for nearly the past 9 years - the bulk of that being property management for our house we were renting out. The service from Joel Weathersbee has been phenomenal throughout and through the ups and downs of the economy he was always able to maximize our return and get the place quickly rented after each tenant left.
Being really far away from the property, we decided to sell an Joel got us top dollar and sold the house in just a matter of weeks of putting up the house for sale. Sherman & Hemstreet is the real deal and will make sure your property is well-taken-care-of when you are renting it out so you can have peace of mind in your investment. Once we were ready to pivot to sell rather than rent Joel was there ready to pivot with us. We can't recommend them enough.

I dealt with Bridget Seay in the Springfield office. She is very rude and unprofessional, never calls back when she says she will and when you do get her on the phone she belligerently talks over you when you're speaking. My girlfriend and I paid $55 apiece for a rental application for a house, were told we were approved and paid a $900 reservation fee.
After meeting with the property owner, Doug Royer, I find out that he is breaking his contract with the realtor because she failed to provide the background checks and other vetting paperwork that were requested; all the paperwork that our $110 was supposedly paying for. The property owner also stated he never agreed to have the realtor charge $$ for an application fee or collect the reservation fee. He's telling me there's potentially fraudulent stuff going on, so i don't know what to think.
So the property owner ended his contract with the realtor, which meant that i paid $110 in application fees and a $900 reservation fee to a realty company on a house that they no longer were contracted to manage. I was told by Bridget that none of it was refundable. To her credit she did assist in helping me get the $900 back from the property owner.
But even so, i paid the money order to Sherman & Hemstreet, not the property owner, and they were going to refuse to refund it after their contract with the property owner ended. Who knows what was going on behind the scenes, I'd have to be a lawyer to even guess, but i know none of it was my fault and this realty company felt justified in not refunding my money.
They still refused to refund the $110 for the applications, even though the applications were for a house that they basically weren't legally representing anymore and didn't even spend the money to do the basic background checks that the application fee was supposedly covering. A very shady, disorganized and unprofessional company. The property owner is equally as dishonest. Beware!

This company is well organized and very professional. They have assisted me with locating property as well utilizing my services for maintenance projects. Jorden Holcombe was prompt and clear in communicating. For your next Comercial real estate transaction; give them an opportunity to earn your business.

Buyer beware. They will cheat you out of your security deposit! The house we rented had a surround sound at some point in the bonus room - it was removed before we moved in. It was like that when we moved in. There were holes and wires pertruding from the holes. The house also had glow in the dark stars affixed to ceiling- again there when we moved in.
They withheld money from my security deposit for both. There was so much turnover from the agents that there was no continuity- the beginning agent knew these things were like this, but the 5th agent in our two year rental- didn't know this.
