This company will do whatever they can to scam you for every penny whole providing inadequate services and the lowest possible standard for their staff. Our building manager was rude and inattentive. There were not enough trash bins for the residents and trash piled up each week. This is just one of many examples. Avoid at all costs. Predatory landlords who will scam you out of your deposit.

I can only speak about one building that I lived in. I was a tenant at 1725 Van Ness Ave (2019-2021) and moved out a couple months ago. It's a shame because this could be a beautiful building but sadly the landlord does nothing to maintain it. Hallway carpets are faded and badly stained. Maintenance problems are not addressed unless it's an emergency.

The elevator is extremely difficult to operate because it has an iron gate and a weighted door--if you're carrying packages or have a bike or grocery cart--just forget it. Unfortunately, original tenants are still permitted to smoke so the hallways wreak of cigar smoke to throw out trash you must make your way down a long ladder-like set of wooden stairs and prey you don't fall.

There have been numerous burglaries which makes it unsafe -friend told me many packages have recently been stolen. But the worst part IMHO is that you can hear everything.any time your neighbor walks around, when they sneeze.there's no way you could have any speakers etc because the walls are paper thin.

I don't know if these are the managers or owners of park meadows apartments over in Rohnert Park. CA, but if you are, I have a whole list of complaints waiting at your door. Its disgusting to see how many 1 star reviews you have on most of properties. steer clear from any properties they own. If you care even one bit about customer care, please remove the mangers Kathy and her husband over at park meadows as mangers for the better of your apartments

Extremely rude customer service from agent Tatiana Kyriakides. When she asked me if I had any questions and I asked my questions, she would start every response "As listed in the ad.". I'm looking at many properties, while your job is to help find a tenant, and speaking to people in this condescending tone is not helping you do your job in the slightest.

I was open to looking at the apartment but after the conversation, and reading the horrible reviews across Facebook and Yelp I wouldn't even consider going even to see the place. I see other reviews are saying the same thing about her, the fact that she's still employed with this place after all the complaints is a red flag about the entire management group.

They will sent slumlord Jay Lieberman to try and force you out if on rent control. Hiring felons off the street to be his onsite henchscum - who will physically attack you as well as him getting other tenants to try and kick your door in. This is the most degenerate management group in SF having this dangerous individual refuse all repairs for last 10 years only fixing when FORCED to by building inspector. Just look up ALL the cases. If you represent this group in any way you are just as responsible for this slumlords actions and will be held accountable.

WORST management company ever - I suppose they are "proud" of their 1 star rating because they don't even deserve that. The intermittent "good reports" must be ringers or paid reviewers. Please read the zillion BAD reports of their horrific mode of operation. Unprofessional, Non communicative, Unresponsive for days. I am contacting the Better Business Bureau and the FBI to report them for totally fraudulent and unscrupulous actions.

They told me it was first come, first serve, and to pay the credit check application fee to be approved through "Intellirent" - perhaps also fraudulent. They kept me waiting 5 days, while I had other apartments on hold, saying the application was processing and they only needed "one more item to clear". Finally, day 5, when I phoned I was informed the apartment had been rented to someone else and "Oh, did I want to rent another apartment for 200 dollars more?" (which I wouldn't income qualify for).

These are cold hearted, thieves no doubt. I should have looked at ALL their negative reviews before wasting money on a credit check. I'm a retired teacher with excellent credit. They are CRIMINALS!

Worst experience. 378 Golden Gate Ave we have had dangerous mold, bugs and toxic exposure that had forced us to vacate our apartment. Now our walls/ceiling are cracking and the power outlets spark when we plug in an appliance. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE Also this building is not safe with drug dealers and addict breaking in every day. Mgmt does not care and the bldg is not meeting DBI code nor SF housing ordinances. AVOID

I fortunately haven't moved forward with an apartment under this group but while contacting one of their agents (Tatiana) I realized this was not going to work out. I responded to her text to confirm appointment times at 10:27pm the night before as my roommate and I couldn't make it the next day so I wanted to let her know ASAP to be respectful of her time.

She wrote back saying "Please realize these are personal cell phones so be mindful of the hour." I was taken aback as most other managers I've interacted with have been so friendly and pleasant to work with. I then realized the rent price she confirmed via text was $355 higher than what is currently on the listing. Seeing the other reviews on here and the 1.2 stars they have on Google definitely makes me glad my roommate and I will not be moving forward with them!

Re: my specific experience with Gaylord Suites (620 Jones St.) & Meridian Management Group This historic building is most definitely a gem in Lower Nob Hill. I absolutely love the little details and the central location--can't beat it. It's not every day that you find a well-priced studio apartment with a concierge, laundry on-site, wood flooring, and new elevators.

I sincerely appreciate Elton Le's kindness and attentiveness over the years at Gaylord. Whenever I have needed any kind of help, Elton has been willing and able to take the time out of his day to call, email, and/or meet with me in person to discuss my needs. Thank you so much, Elton! I also want to give a big shoutout to Gaylord Suites' resident handyman, Neio Christopher Calata.

He is a hard working, respectful, reliable, and kind gentleman. I am incredibly thankful for him and his time/support over the years with whatever fix or help I've needed in my apartment. Thank you so much, Neio! My stay at Gaylord wouldn't have been as lovely without your consistent and reliable help and kindness. Beyond that, Meridian Management Group gave me back my security deposit check, in full, after 20 days post move out (there is a 21 day rule in SF for security deposit returns).

For that, they met the appropriate requirements and did entirely right by me. I have nothing but positive things to say about this group. Thank you Meridian Management Group! Sincerely appreciate you executing things properly.

I should've read those reviews before I rented a studio at 642 Jones st. managed by Meridian Management Group. The bottom line is the building manager is so hard to reach. I had to email him or text him at least two or three times every single time I requested something. I have never received a response from him at once. I had to remind him over and over again.

He responses quickly only when he needs me to do something. IT WAS REALLY FRUSTRATING TO COMMUNICATE WITH HIM. Not recommended at all. I don't know other properties, but 642 Jones, absolutely not!

Worst apartment management in SF. Complained several years ago about rainwater seeping into the wall right under my bedroom window (the paint is chipped and when you touch the wall, sand comes out). Shower door broke and all they did was remove the door and put up a shower curtain (fucking ghetto ass solution). I have several other complaints but the most egregious is the loud banging noise of my neighbor's radiator heater.

Everyday for the past 3 or 4 years my neighbor uses his heater even during the summer (why?) And each time he uses it, a loud banging noise can be heard through out the apartment. My biggest concern is that this noise happens see eral times in the wee hours of the morning at 2 am, 3 am and 4 am which greatly afffects my quality of sleep and quality of life. I've shown the apartment manager links to articles online to "waterhammer" and videos on YouTube on how to fix it but to no avail. I'm.not even sure they tried to fix it. Lastly, they distributed a notice to all tenants that they are not responsible for bedbug infestations.

This notice was added as an addendum to our rental agreements and I found what they did was illegal: http://www.franklinstreetlaw.com/victory-in-class-action-lawsuit-against-meridian-management/

These people are crooks. They blatantly violate civil code 1950.5 -- they were late (after 21 days) returning information about my security deposit, and unsurprisingly claimed they get to keep all of it for "cleaning/painting." Almost 3k for a tiny apartment, and the charges aren't even itemized. Whatever you do, get tons of photos, get everything in writing, and know that you'll need to sue to get your security deposit returned. These people need to get shut down.

This property management company is horrible! They never answer their phone when you need help. They scheduled construction in my unit while the shelter in place when we are all inside working from home. How is this safe? I have been in this apartment for 10 years and they have been the worse property management we had compared to the ones we had in the past. Don't rent from them. They don't care about their tenants.

Absolute nightmare of a management company. When we signed the lease, we asked to start in a month. They insisted we start halfway through the current month. When we moved in (on the date they insisted), the building was still under renovation. Our unit didn't even have an official address. Over the next month or so were told THREE different addresses for our new unit, and no one seemed to know for sure.

We were unable to get mail delivered or internet installed since the address wasn't on record anywhere. The address that ended up being the right one was *not* the one on the lease. The first month or two in the unit consisted of trying to get basic services (mail, internet), and getting various issues with the unit fixed (our plumbing overflowed twice).

It was nearly impossible to get ahold of anyone at Meridian, and when you did they were essentially clueless. Always passing the blame and asking how they can help. At one point, I ended up tracking down the Trust that actually runs this management group, but even they ignored our calls. Through the rest of the tenancy we just minimized contact with management as much as possible.

Continued to have issues like rats in common areas. We moved out a month ago, and we're currently hearing radio silence in regard to our security deposit. They've ignored all of our emails and texts, despite now being over the **legal time limit** for at least providing us an itemized list of withholdings. DO NOT RENT FROM MERIDIAN MANAGEMENT GROUP!

My family and I lived in the Sherwood Oaks Apartments managed by Meridian Management Group. We gave one month notice before leaving. We paid for a cleaning service to make sure we left the place the way we found it. However, when I asked for a walk through of the apartment I was told they would not do a walk through and that we would not be receiving any part of our deposit back.

We broke the lease by one month and they would not be returning any part of the deposit. I looked over our rental agreement and it wasn't stated there that we would be forfeit our deposit for breaking our lease. In fact it was clearly stated that it was based on the state of the apartment once we left. So far I have tried reaching out to the property manager and the company itself and no one will return my call. STAY AWAY!

Hello. I am not sure if this is the correct company that manages Park meadow apartments at 7425 Camino colegio in Rohnert Park CA. But I just wanted to file a little bit of a complaint. I know that renovations are being made on the empty apartments and they are looking lovely But I have talked to some of the other tenants and all we ask for is some form of cooling during the summer months.

We all are hot, sweaty and tired of the heat hoping our stationary fans will keep us cool. We were asking about a swamp cooler installed or even a fan on our ceiling to hope for some air flow. We have asked and have been denied multiple times with this Gerry guy saying there is nothing he can do. Then as I walked past his apartment this afternoon what do I see installed in his window.

A swamp cooler. I ask that Noe Brooks the property manager please stop by unannounced to see for herself. There is also more problems with the manager and his wife here. There was an incident where a tenant requested a new mailbox key because his wasn't working. While he was out they did not only change the mailbox key but they opened his apartment door and changed the lock on his door.

I'm sorry but that is unexcusable and it took me so long to find out who managed this property. Gerry and his wife refused to tell me who managed the property here and I had to do a lot of research. I you have any questions please feel free to email me here.

Beware! This management group is dysfunctional. I guess they are making some management changes so who knows if it'll be better for future tenants. My experience was absolutely a 1-star one. Common theme: they take forever to respond to maintenance requests (if they ever respond at all). As a tenant, KNOW YOUR RIGHTS. Upon move out they "erroneously" withheld $850 for "painting/cleaning" without receipts.

They quickly remedied their "mistake" after I sent a letter referring to CA deposit law. Other issues during my tenancy: I spent 3 days (over a weekend) with no hot water. Property manager who lived on-site was totally AWOL for that weekend and failed to communicate what was going on. I had leaking windows. Not a drip- it was a torrent. I could have showered in the brown water that gushed from the windows in every room in my apartment!

They tried to fix it, but instead the caulk they used mixed with the rainwater and ran down the windows like something out of a horror movie. (Windows likely still leak!). When I moved in, they claimed they would be updating the coin laundry machines. 2 years later that hasn't happened. The machines frequently break, don't get repaired in a timely fashion, and the dryers don't really dry your clothes. C'mon! Pest infestation - lots of ants! No effort was made to get rid of them, I was left with managing the issue on my own (Why am I paying market rate for that that?).

These people are thieves. They are attempting to keep my entire security deposit to cover painting the apartment. I have attached pictures of what they state will cost $1,200 to fix. It is absolutely ridiculous. In addition, they were also trying to get me to pay for work that was done poorly by their contractors. I have never experienced anything like it.

They are doing this because they know we have moved across the country and not be able to effectively combat these silly claims. Do not ever trust these people. Run far and fast. Update: Now these crooks are trying to bill me for rent when I wasn't there. They sent me an updated bill with more charges on it. These people are disgusting. Do not rent from them!

THIS COMPANY STEAL YOUR MONEY! They did a full inspection, told us everything was good that we owed $300 for broken mirror which we were agreed to pay. When they went to give us back our security deposit they TOTALLY changed story and only gave us back $500 of a $2000 deposit making up lies about why we owe this! Even charging for paint when no mention of needing to paint was noted in inspection.

Even biggie issue is they have someone in the renters union IN THEIR POCKET! I'm now having to hire lawyer to retain my money after all their lies with NOOOOOO HELP from any rental protection agency in CALIFORNIA! ANY CENT YOU GIVE THEM THEY WILL KEEP AND YOU WILL NEVER GET BACK!

Meridian has been managing my building in Oakland for a little over a year and they basically behave like an absentee caretaker. I really don't know how they get away with this. You constantly see construction crews in and out renovating units in order to charge higher rent to new tenants, but it's near impossible to get any responsiveness for questions and repairs for the current tenants.

There has been a ceiling leak in my unit at least since March, which means the unit is considered non-habitable according to CA state law. Management thus far has taken no meaningful action. Shortly after taking over the building, Meridian inexplicably closed the trash chute for tenants; now, the basement of the building, where we all have to take our trash, looks like a garbage dump. When I submit a maintenance request of otherwise contact the resident manager, I pretty much expect not to hear a response; I have to follow up multiple times

Do NOT rent from MMG, especially from Gary at 7425 Camino Colegio. He will attempt to steal your security deposit and then claim he has no responsibility to return even though it is his job.

I had the most unprofessional interaction with one of their "portfolio managers." He is attempting to illegally raise my rent by 10% with only a 2 week notice! He hung up on me on the phone when I called him to ask about it. If I owned a building in this city I would go anywhere else for my property management needs. This place is amateur hour and their illegal practices will no doubt get them sued.

The building is good (1105 Bush St) and kept in good shape overall. The building manager is really fast getting the maintenance done, HOWEVER, people are smoking in their houses and inside the building and no one does anything about it! It is supposed to be a SMOKE-FREE building, but my apartment is filled with smoke coming through bathroom windows or walls.

And no one investigates or does anything about it, which is really sad- and against the lease terms. If you are a non-smoker and really sensitive to smoke, do not rent from here.

Negative Stars- My husband and I worked with Taylor for a property, we were told that the apartment was ours outside of management and property bureaucracy. We found out after a few days of waiting for the lease without any follow-up communication and providing our own credit history after paying $25/person to apply that we did not fit the "criteria" though we have excellent credit and rental history.

The property manager Jeanne was highly unprofessional and cared more about being the louder voice on the phone than helping to resolve the issue. We were told conflicting information regarding the reason for denial and to wait for a report to be mailed to us. After several minutes on the phone we were then told that the property was already leased. This place is unprofessional, rude, and a joke of a management company. Would not recommend.

Incredibly poorly run company! Do not rent from them. You will bever be able to reach them even in the most dire of emergencies. I have never dealt with a company that cares so little about its tenants who pay a TON of money for rent. They are totally criminal and it has been a nightmare renting from them.

Lived in a Fairfax, Marin owned apartment complex, for two years with my roommate. Not a single stain on the carpet, which was brand new when we moved in, yet $200 deducted out of the deposit for cleaning. Out of a $750 deposit, $150 was returned to us. That level of deduction warrants way more damage that normal wear and tear. Kitchen faucet handle snapped right off one day and was never ever fixed for months before we moved out with repeated requests to management. Having to turn the kitchen sink on and off with a wrench, are you kidding me?! For shame!

One guy was shut in into an elevator today. An elevator stopped between 5F and 4F! He was screaming for HELP. Called on-site manager, but he didn't answer the phone. His phone is powered off. Called Meridian Management Group, nobody answer the phone.

Sitting in my new apartment and loving it! It's in a great location and the price is fair considering all the space (large living area, three closets, eat-in kitchen with dishwasher). The manager of the building, Beth Mondry, is an absolute saint and really made my cross-country moving experience as painless as possible. She went above and beyond her duties as a manager and was really welcoming when I got to the building.

The building is well maintained and has really nice period features (high ceilings, nice entryway) and is secure (we have a card entry system). I can't speak for other buildings or managers but I'm loving the experience I had with my new place!
