New Dimensions and its management staff are unethical. Do not be fooled by Jon's friendly conversation. Do not take him at his word, as he blatantly breaks promises. If you must rent through New Dimensions, plan on losing your deposit, no matter how carefully you document the "before" condition and how immaculately you clean upon leaving. Don't bother doing minor repairs in good faith to keep the property up--it won't matter.

Their business model depends upon keeping your deposit and they know that small claims court costs just enough to make it not worth it to fight. Rent through New Dimensions at your own risk and without any expectation of good faith and fair dealing.

If I could give a zero rating that's what I would do. They lie, they will take your credit check fee. My husband and I both had to do the credit check. So that's $80 they scammed from us. They had someone approved for a property and they acted like we were the only ones applying. The very next day after applying I received an email saying someone else was approved for the propery.

They rushed us to apply. The lady I spoke with said, if I were you I would put in an application asap so your the first one on the property. This was the first property I applied to because I wanted to make sure I was approved. I don't have much money and I worked real hard to get my credit up and I didn't want a mark on my credit if I wasn't going to be approved. I met all the qualifications and yet I was still denied cuz there was another applicant. The listing is still up as well. Don't be conned into giving them any money.

Went in with my boyfriend today. Asked if credit was a huge problem and explained my bad credit history. Explained we had excellent rental history and made 4x the rent. Lady stated they take everything into account and exceptions could be made if the income and rental history checked out. After waiting 3 hours for keys to view the place returned keys. Paid 80 dollars to be denied. References for rental history wasnt checked. I wouldn't have wasted my day, money and gas if the lady was just honest with us.

Overall application and move in process was fine. Really like team at the office and take care of any needs we have. Only reason i dont put 5 stars was due to the in person home inspections they do 1-2 times a year. Could just send them pictures of the house. Rental is overpriced but thats what you have to deal with in this market.

Things I love about this company: They have an online portal for everything. Maintenance, rent, bills. Which is so convenient. Repairs are usually answered same day. The repair person calls to see when you're available, which makes it great to be able to control when they come. Also you can pay rent online! Front desk is so helpful and gives you extra of those trash stickers! Hellooooo bags of leaves! Very responsive, professional and helpful!

They just are great They are great I contacted them about the people living above us playing rap music allday, night and all weekend. We are all sick of it. Ill let you know what they said with a new revue. Actually I know they will deal with it. Im sure they will deal with it. Seems like a upgrade to us.

Now those douche bag John lundahl is trying to collect $1800 6 months after I got a no cause eviction after my mom rented the place for 30 years and died and I rented it another 5 years never late with rent and they never made any improvements in 30 years and the siding was falling off and we were getting sick from mold asbestos and millions of mice new dimensions are doubling rental prices and screwing disabled seniors on fixed income he's a really pathetic jack ass

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, Value They took our $80 for an application fee then told us a hour later they approved somebody else for the unit. If a business door is lock during business hours that's bad business just remember Slaves aren't in chains they're in debt your still a slave.

We toured a beautiful home, and quickly completed our application. After they collected our application fees they were completely unresponsive. I tried multiple times to email and call to get an update on our application and got no response. A week later a leasing agent emailed me telling me to contact the office because they had covid when I called the office they said that the leasing agent would process our application from home. Its been 3 weeks and no one will respond to our calls or emails.

If you have to deal with JON or COURTNEY, run away as fast you can. They are horrible horrible people who are out to get you for every last dollar. Just a really bad and scammy company, rent from LITERALLY anybody else if you can.

I have ndi manage my rental property after interviewing several alternatives. They have always handled business professionally and honestly. I used to use a different company who lacked imagination and flexibility, so I changed to ndi and am glad I did.

Wow! Very impressed with the head broker as she came and talk to me personally about a misunderstanding that I had with another employee there. I am very grateful that she was able to talk to me and direct me in a better direction with what was actually happening. Very kind and helpful. Small miscommunications can really hurt, I am very thankful that she could clear up what was happening. Was able to pick up a key to view a property. Fingers crossed It's what we are looking for.

Issued a no-cause eviction during the pandemic after living in the same property for 7 years with zero issues. 30 Days to vacate- not their fault, it was the property owners decision. Vacated in the allowed timeframe, got most of security deposit back. Thought everything was in the past. Two months later I get an email saying I owe them $130 or I'll be sent to collections.

This is after I got the deposit back. No context, no other emails or calls, and no payment method options? If you wind up with them as your property manager, prepare to be blind sided. Very unprofessional, and completely unhelpful.

AVOID THESE CROOKS LIKE THE PLAGUE! Long story short, they didn't transfer our application to another property we were interested and then blamed us. They said we don't get our money back because they've already spent it and said it was our fault, even though I've called them so many times trying to figure out what was going on. Garett, the guy who "helped" me, was the rudest, most unprofessional individual I've spoken to in a customer service position.

I was nice and patient with the entire staff and even told them I understand when processing issues happen, but I guess I didn't deserve that patience in return. He said he would help us, but only if I could give him the names of the three different individual people I spoke with over the phone in the span of almost two months. He was so incredibly condescending and he called US unprofessional for not following through with a property we toured, even though I called the office, told them we weren't interested in that location and asked if I could apply to a different property. And the best part of this whole conversation is that he hung up on me. Save your wallet and your sanity and stay away from these people.

I applied for a place that was $1250. I understand my credit score is low but I was able to pay twice the deposit with 1st and 2nd months rent all at once. They denied me because it credit shows I paid my utilities late. During covid I thought the power company was helping people with their power bill, especially those that lost their job due to covid.

So I didn't pay it, I never got a notice in the mail. I called to see what was going on, my account was accessed by someone with all my info and turned it off. So we got it all fixed and I owed for the months I didn't pay but because of how it happened the power company had provided monthly payments to catch up. I have already caught up by the way.

But it shows on my background that I was "late" even though I didn't know what the heck was going on. I had one late payment to charter but it should be credited soon here because I turned in the equipment. Dimensions didn't care they said this all made me look like an unreasponsible renter. Even though i always pay rent on time, never been evicted, never owed money to landlord.

What else do you people want? I even explained to the representative that I'm having a hard time where I am residing at the moment because I'm being stalked and harassed. They don't care. Rude and unprofessional.for a little run down house they want perfection. It has never been this hard to apply for a place and be accepted until these past couple of years. Ridiculous.

We have been working with this management company for 3 years and have had mostly a satisfactory response to our concerns. We have recently encountered the complete opposite when dealing with a air conditioning problem. Our manager will not return phone calls or text messages. It has been 7 days. No response. It is clear they do not care about the renters, the law or the properties they are supposed to represent.

Wonderful overall experience! The broker, Barbara, was a pleasure to work with. She was very knowledgeable, courteous, and had such a great personality. Nice to see people enjoy their profession. I applied for a property and within an hour I was approved. The staff walked me through the lease in detail, I paid the next day, and I move in on the first. Thanks again to the entire team at New Dimensions. You guys and gals are stars!

My experience with New Dimensions has been all positive. My maintenance requests have all been handled promptly. They actually performed an inspection a few months into my lease, to make sure everything is working properly. I am always treated with courtesy when I interact with personnel, and the house is well-maintained. I don't understand the bad reviews on here but i will say rent increases are set by the homeowners.

Mine went up $50 which is fair, but I've heard of others having rent increases of $200 or more. I want to emphasize those increases are coming from the homeowner, and not ND.

Best property management company I've ever had the pleasure of renting from. John is a great property manager. They were there when I needed them to be, and never bothered me when I didn't need them. Fixed any issues we had quickly. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to rent a home in the Reno area.

Wow, these reviews baffle me. We rented a beautiful home from New Dimensions in 2012 and Jon Lundahl was our agent. We lived there for 8 years and I cannot recall a single instance where Jon did not make every effort to meet our needs at the property. We would work with Jon again in the future over any other property manager.

Stay away from this property management company Stay as far away as possible. My wife and I are trying to relocate to the Reno/Sparks area. We searched for a property and settled on one that New Dimensions has the management rights too. Communication was ok at first. Then they ghosted us for 2 wks. After repeated attempts to contact them. All we would get back is put in your applications.

So gullible us we put in the app. LEss than 24hrs later they denied our app with no reason or explanation. Not even a request for more information about what might be causing us to be denied. $80 down the drain. Again stay away, they just want you to app and take your money! Do yourselves a favor and look for a more competent company to do business with.

Below is the 5 star review New Dimensions asked for when we signed our lease a year ago. Since then has been a nightmare. To this day, after several attempts, we have never met or spoken to our property manager. We have needed his help and never had a single response. After a year, we do not have keys to the amenities in our HOA that we pay for. We don't have parking permits for our Gated community.

Which is threatening to enforce parking. ITS BEEN A YEAR! We have never been late on rent even through the COVID crisis. Our lease ends in July and for a month now we have called every week to ask about a Lease renewal and NOBODY has an answer or cares to look into this matter. Their answer is usually, "well your lease will go month to month so don't worry" SERIOUSLY!?

I don't want month to month, I have a wife and a 3 month old son, we want a year lease! How does a property management company act like this? We feel like we inconvenience them each time we call. We are dream tenants. We have never submitted a single work order, we have taken immaculate care of the property, we have NEVER been late on rent. We are not asking a lot! ORIGINAL REVIEW: Finding a house in Reno feels close to impossible these days.

The application process for a house can be monotonous and frustrating no matter where you go. New Dimensions made our process smooth and efficient. The staff was polite and professional and we got the house we wanted. Thank you, New Dimensions!

New Dimensions will scam you for the application fee. DO NOT APPLY THROUGH THEM! They will take your money then provide you with no real reason why you don't get the house. Even though I passed all the parts of the application I was denied the house. They told me: "the application says upon approval by owner, but we cannot specify why the owner chose not approve you." Avoid at all costs unless you feel like giving them your money for nothing. Also super slow turn around took almost 3 weeks to process the application.

If I could, I'd give 0 stars. Jon is super unprofessional and will not even call me back to explain why they denied me. I got a text from someone else in the company that I'm denied but no one says why or answers me when I ask why. They had no problem taking my information and charge me $70 and answered all of my questions up until that point. Then after I applied, I had to consistently call and text for any kind of brushed off answer. Such a waste of time and money, there are better rental companies to use.

I rented from this company for two years and I concur with the multitude of negative responses on here. If I could give them zero or negative stars I would. They charged $1700 for a moldy house that had standing water in the crawl space, left us with a broken furnace and no heat in the dead of winter for 11 days, the kitchen sink broke and we had to fix it ourselves, and on move out the charged us for things that were broken or damaged when we moved in, conveniently losing the move in walk thru paperwork.

They also called my roommates (a combat veteran's) service dog "unauthorized" and blamed broken things on her that were broken upon our move in. We requested maintenance for things that never got responses all the time. If you look up the term "slum lord" you'll see New Dimensions. I was a property manager myself for 12 years in another state before I lived in Nevada and this place would have been shut down there.

I am currently undergoing trying to get the money back that they wrongfully withheld money from our security deposit I.e., double charged for maid cleaning etc. I've reported them to the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General in the stare of Nevada. Needless to say this company is absolutely terrible, look elsewhere.

Ridiculous. Awful experience. We were on a serious time crunch to find a place and applied for a rental home through ND. They wouldn't tell us if any applications were in already so we paid the fee and hoped for the best. It took a week for them to let us know the home had already been rented out. So, with two weeks left to find a place, we had our application transferred to another home. 5 days went by, we called for an update and said they'd let us know on Monday.

On Tuesday, we got another text saying the house had been rented out. So, they accepted our application fees already knowing that the homes were no longer available, waited a week to let us know, AND didn't even run the background check, call references, check credit, etc. What a waste of our time. Any homes managed by ND aren't even worth it.

I put another star for a response from the owner. My issue stands with why we were charged for a background check and upon inquiring with all three credit reporting agencies there was never a check pulled on my credit, this is why I am frustrated because when you ask for proof on a so-called non-refundable credit check there is none and one's going to believe that nothing was done except pocket the money. I hope you can see why this seems shady-

Sad excuse for a real estate company. I got keys to go see a property of theirs and the keys didn't work, we tried every which way, pulled the door towards us while trying to unlock the doors. The receptionist told us that we didn't know what we were doing and that it was our fault. Go somewhere else people, these guys don't care. I've never been to a business that is so unprofessional.

After leaving my previous nasty review: "New Dimensions is the most unorganized property management I've ever experienced. The staff are rude and you can barely get a call back. To get maintenance to come out is near impossible. I moved out of my townhouse by myself leaving my roommate on the lease (we were switched to a month to month contract after completing the one year).

They STILL haven't taken me off the lease MONTHS LATER and are stating I am liable for things I shouldn't be! Every time I ask to speak with a manager they are "gone" or "unavailable". Total incompetence." The owner of the company, Robin, immediately called me. She was very apologetic. However, the damage had already been done. After 8 months of going back and forth with these people, and being given the wrong information as to what the proper steps are to move out, I am finally off the Month to Month lease! Ridiculous and comedic at the same time.

Any time I got a call back I was treated condescendingly, probably because I am young, and Jesse was definitely the rudest of them all. The confusion on their part and bad management have led to so many negative reviews on Yelp. I advise you to look up the NRS tenant landlord laws if you are going to rent from them because they will to try convince you into thinking they have your best interest at heart when really they do not. I'm pretty certain they lost the original paper stating my move out date and time they had asked me for previously that was now "unacceptable". What a joke of a company. When it comes to something so important as to legal documentation all your staff should be properly trained and informed.

Stay away Rented a property in Del Webb from a company New Dimension s took over maybe 2 years ago. We have recently moved out and were charged for cleaning and carpet cleaning after leaving the property immaculate and having professional carpet company clean. Jon, the property manager would not call me or my husband after many requests left to voicemail.

Will be contacting owners for their information, BBB, Attorneys General, and Business licensing for Reno. I am a licensed Real Estate Broker in NC and this should not happen.

This company is terrible at communicating and getting things fixed in their rentals. If you can avoid renting from them, I highly recommend it. They have a super-strict payment policy, and if you're more than 3 days late, they charge 10% of your rent, per day! The only person that I enjoyed dealing with was the receptionist, Chelsea. She was always polite and professional - the rest of the company is HORRIBLE.
