Point West Properties

Terrible place. If I could give zero stars I would. I wouldn't rent from this company again; unfortunately I do rent from them currently. If I could get all my money back I would. They never take care of their renters. They never respond to complaints. There's a horrible banging sound in the apartments and no matter how many times I bring it up to them, they never call or email back.

They don't care. I am trying to rent somewhere else because the banging is making me crazy! There's never any hot water, and they don't care to replace their water heater. There's screaming, and they don't care. If anyone breaks the noise curfew, or dogs bark at odd hours, they don't care. They consistently ignore renter emails and phone calls and on the off chance you do get in contact with them they tell you 'we don't take care of that, hire someone else.'

I pay rent to these people and they are always kind and respectful. The best landlords I have ever had.

Unlike every other renter in Boulder, Point West Properties gave us back nearly our ENTIRE security deposit! We never had any issues with them, rent price was reasonable(ish), and maintenance was reliable. Thank you Point West Properties for not ripping us off!

Point West Properties Employees are always very helpful. If I have a maintenance issue they take care of it immediately. They are all very knowledgeable and helpful in any situation I've experienced. They have helped me tremendously during this pandemic. I would recommend them to anyone.

The quality of the apartments for the price is just down right absurd. Also the fact that when I request for maintenance to fix a problem I never hear back and next thing I know have a man in my apartment working on something without me being warned or noticed at all. I moved into my apartment that had many holes in the walls, light fixtures that were just broken, wiring not done right, broken microwave, and ancient appliances.

There seems to be little to no regard to the state and quality of the apartments. $1,400 for 400 square feet is insane. Please don't use this property management. They don't seem to care about their tenants or their buildings.

ZERO STARS! I thought dealing with Fourstar was bad, but it was nothing compared to my experience with point west. We had rats in our house for over a month and point west did not call us back about it after several phone calls, voicemails, and emails. We ended up having to get our own exterminator to come out and deal with it because they made no effort to help us. then there was a real bad smell in our house cuz a rat died in one of our refrigerator motors and when we told them about it they sent someone over who moved our fridge, looked behind it and said nothing was wrong, then moved the fridge back and charged us $50.

After that we called another exterminator on our own and he solved our problem in less than 5 minutes. There were countless other problems that we had with our house and with the rental company, but I think the rat example is enough to convey how badly point west properties needs to be shut down. The people there are so rude and its so obvious that no one cares about problems with the property no matter how big.

Would take stars away if I could. The woman who answers the phone is completely useless, never dealt with anyone who knew less about the business they work at than she does. The company as a whole is a waste of space. Incapable of fixing anything but very quick to post an eviction notice on our door when they lost our rent checks. Every interaction we have had with them has been negative, avoid at all costs. Be homeless before you rent from Point West.

First of all let me say that these guys gave me the least amount of hassle in order to move in out of 7+ agencies that I had applied to. Other Realty places asked for my bank account info, and tons of questions that honestly made me uncomfortable. However they worked off my Credit and helped me with my short turn around for needing a place and approved me the next day and I was moved in by the end of the following week!

The value they offer is better over the 7 agencies I was researching. I moved into a apartment in Longmont and it had a broken window upon move in. I called and in 2 days it was fixed. I was so surprised in how fast and efficient they were with this matter. Overall they are very friendly and nice and I would recommend them to others.

I have experienced THEFT and VANDALISM as well as heard GUN SHOTS while renting from Point West on Madison Street in Boulder. Nothing has been done about any of this. They also made me move out four days early (with the threat of evicting me), costing me ~$400 to keep my stuff in a Uhaul and board my cats while I couch surfed. They were not been prompt and understanding with my other complaints/questions/maintenance requests.

They outright refused to repair or replace my screen door which has holes, will not swing shut, and will not latch. They have also outright ignored the illegal parking that goes on. Not only can I not access the parking lots because of illegal parking blocking access, but there is also nowhere for me to park in the tenant-only parking lots because of all the illegal non-tenant parking that goes on.

They have ignored my many requests to have the exterior lighting actually work so that I can see where I'm going in the parking lots and stairwells at night. It took them SIX MONTHS to fix my stove. Their website, paperwork, and actions don't match up. They're also outdated on their methods for paying rent (no mail, no online, and no plastic) and don't keep convenient hours.

I've heard many horrible things about BPM and their monopoly on the housing in Boulder, but they've got to be better than Point West. I am counting down the days until my lease is up.
