Power Property Management

Power Property Management has been in charge of our building since October 2021, and it has been the most miserable time I've spent in this building for over 30 years. They are the absolute worst.

Despite this company being a property manager, they do not maintain their own property. The sidewalk outside -- which they are responsible for maintaining -- is covered in trash and often has overgrown grass. We have lived near here for months, and just stepped on a dirty nail left in the grass. Please hire regular gardeners and maintain your property for the community's safety and appearance.

Don't rent with them! They have the worst customer service. They don't do anything for the property except collect money. They never answer your calls, but when they want to collect money they are quick to harass. They were late sending me, my deposit money and they just took money without informing me. They did not communicate anything. You have to chase them to get answers.

5-Stars! This is the best management company I have ever come into contact with. Javier and the team are incredible. As a tenant for 2 years, they attended to every detail immediately. Generally, within an hour of a request for a light bulb to a door hinge, they were scheduling maintenance. After move-out, my deposit was returned with no issue. They have offered support with past documents needed for a home loan, even after moving out! I highly recommend PPM and the entire team. A special thank you to Javier.

Absolutely worst Management group to date. When I lived there, it took 2-3 tickets to get anything fixed. When I moved out, the team ghosted me about my security deposit. It's been 3 months now, still no answer from anyone.

Power Property Management is the worst thing your landlord could bring upon you. Ever since they have taken over the condition of my apartment has plummeted Roaches, Nasty Exterior, Forever Repairs that never seem to get repaired. Horrible customer service, Byron needs a rude awakening, he's going to meet his match one day. The only reason someone will choose them to manage their property is because they are cheap and lazy.

It's sad people have to live in vile conditions to keep a roof over their heads. They need to be out of business. Only time they actually manage their property is if we have a vacant unit. Run Run Run!

Power Property Management (PPM) of Los Angeles is the worse management companies that the city offers. My family and other tenants at the apartment building are consistently neglected and ignored of our habitability problems. How this management team is run and their lack of care to properly address issues has resulted in unresolved problems, impacting the livelihoods of our community. Plumbing leaks, mold, chipped paint, roaches etc.; PPM fails to provide security and safety precautions that make us always make us feel uncomfortable living in our own home.

Horrible management company. Cut down 50 year old Cypress trees in front of the building, perfectly healthy tall trees, so needed in our city, with birds nesting on them. Those trees could live another 500 years. Filled the land with fake grass instead. What a shame. This fake lawn is very stinky now. Dogs are really loving it. Excrements can't compost now. they just sit on top of this plastic grass. Smh

If you read these reviews, you can tell that all of PPM's tenants leave 1-star reviews while property owners leave 5-star reviews. This is no mistake; this property manager ignores its tenants, drags its feet on repairs or issues, and cannot properly prepare a unit for move-in. I imagine the property owners must love having a low-budget option for property management services who withholds security deposits and neglects coordinating for repairs. If you own property managed by PPM and wonder why you can't keep a tenant for more than the first lease period, look no further.

If I could leave zero stars I would - I have been without heat in my apartment at Dracena Dr for over 3 weeks. Power property has been shady and avoidant and keeps giving me random peoples names and numbers as the right person to contact. classic run around. This company is fine if you never have a problem but if you have any problem that needs fixing you're SOL.

For a company that doesn't fix anything, they sure do know how to harass their tenants like they care. This property management company makes you not want to live in your own home. How do you find the nerve to tell someone how they sound have their unit when the entire apartment is a health hazard you guys are worried about the wrong thing. They only fix things if it may disrupt another tenant or a unit if a new is available they'll come the day of the viewing to make the property presentable other than that forget about it.

It makes no sense that the lack of professionalism is so high, if you must communicate with them I advise you to keep records because you will have endless calls that leads to nothing. At this point if you choose to hire them to manage your property I'm going to assume that you are cheap and don't care about the upkeep of your property. Since they took over my building I have literally watched it deteriorate. Words of advice run as far as you can.

PPM took over at a place my aunt was living at for 15 years, once they took over the overall living conditions plummeted. Not only has she moved but 4 other tenants due to lack of care and unprofessionalism that is shown towards their tenants. The company claims they send someone to clean the apartment twice month which is a lie. They always come around the 1st of the month and do a lackluster job when they do come.

The only time they fix anything or clean up when a potential apartment views an apartment. Our garage gate was broke over 6 months. Flooring in the apartment always were coming up, trash was never cleaned up. Just overall uncomfortable living conditions. Don't even request to have anything fixed because if it's not leaking you are going to be stuck with the issue If you see their sign RUN. If someone continues to be ran by them more than a year. It just tells you how cheap and a cheapskate your landlord is.

At first they are super responsive, but once you sign the lease - it's over. As far as building maintenance - no pest control (I have to call and ask every time). They used to supply weekly trash removal and overall building hygiene up keep and then got rid of it during COVID. Hence, there are spider webs EVERYWHERE. Paint is chipped and old. Laundry room is filthy.

They only touch up when tenants move out, and at the VERY minimum. From upper to lower management, it's been unpleasant to interact with them and it's gotten worse over the years. I would suggest renting with another property management group that cares for their properties and tenants, and who aren't super cheap about their repairs & maintenance. I speak from 5+ experience.

I am neither a tenant nor a property owner. I work with Power Property Management as a trusted vendor. Thomas and his team are always professional, responsive and transparent - everything you could hope for in a business relationship. The properties they manage seem to be well maintained which is challenging when deferred maintenance is often a viable option. I'm happy to recommend Power Property Management to my clients.

We've had Power Property managing a couple of our homes here in L.A. and I felt the need to leave a positive review after they saved the day once again with a ruptured water line. They received a call from the tenants and within an hour, they had a plumber there to fix the issue. Overall, the PPM team has been very responsive and great to work with. We've recommended them to several of our friends and colleagues.
