Realty Group Property Management was formed in 1983 by the current owner, Greg Smith. Greg was working with a group of investors and the need for Property Management naturally followed. Being that computers were not readily available then, Greg set up shop with his pencil and ledger books and RGPM was born.
We have invested in a web-based property management software from AppFolio so our experienced team can manage your properties with the highest level of service. At any time and from anywhere, we are able to securely access data about all properties. Sensitive records are safely stored in a state-of-art data center which is automatically and routinely backed up.

Friend of mine recommended RGPM for property management. They are managing my property from 2015. Kathy was really helpful. When we reach out to her with any concerns, she will handle it right away. RGPM helped us to find good tenants. We are happy with their service and will continue using them.

Reading the comments on RGPM I feel compelled to share my experience. RGPM managed my property for multiple years after I moved out of state. At every turn I was met with incompetence by their staff and owners. My last tenant with them was a nightmare and they destroyed the property. It was clear RGPM was not going on site even though my house was 5 minutes from there office.

As I walked through the property looking at almost 30,000 in damage the only thing the owner Greg had to say was well this does not look as bad as some foreclosures I have pick up. That should tell you all you need to know, I strongly recommend if you value your property do not trust RGPM to take care of it.

Absolutely worst, unprofessional company. They delivered a house that was filthy under the appliances, behind the blinds, which you cannot see until you live there. There is mold in the house. I had mold tested by the professional. They sent their maintenance company who do not follow any CDC guidelines. I asked the PM Kathy Jones to ensure the worker comes wearing face mask and shoe covers.

But it was ignored. The guy she sent to check out the scope of work, walked all over without wearing face mask and shoe covers. Fortunately, I had video camera installed and it was caught on camera. I demanded she send a professional company, but she refused. She insisted to send the same guy and put us at risk during covid (April, 2021). I did not allow her. Legal action is being taken against Kathy Jones and the company.

This was my first time renting through a property management group. I found the team at Realty Group Property Management responsive, efficient and professional. They have a knack of being accountable to the owner while making the tenant feel that they are looking out for their best interest, as well. The portal for maintenance and rent payments was seamless and effective. After 4 years I'm going to miss them! Thanks so much!

I was referred to Realty Group Property Management by both a family member and a friend who currently have properties managed by RGPM for over 12 years and counting. RGPM assisted with finding great tenants and I had no issues for the duration of the lease. The team was great with my property from the beginning to the end and even assisted with the sale. Working with this management group has been nothing short of great. We are a military family and were looking for a two year lease at a location. We found a great house, but the yard needed some work. Kathy was able to touch base with the owners and after some discussion, the yard was improved and we moved in. It has been a pleasure working with Kathy who is very responsive and has been quick to fix any issues we've had moving into our house. Certainly would recommend them!

I have had 2 to 3 properties (sold one) managed by Realty Group Property Management for over 10 years. The team is very pleasant to deal with and are very responsive. My tenants have their needs addressed immediately and I dont get those 1am calls about a broken heater or AC. The staff addresses all issues quickly. They are also very knowledgeable about landlord tenant laws within Montgomery County which is very important. If you are looking for a property manager to manage your properties, I encourage you to give this company a try. Your tenants will appreciate it as well.

I have had good service. RGPM has cared for my Silver Spring property since I moved to another state but wasn't ready to sell. They have been able to take care of the various issues that come up when you have tenants.but I have been a satisfied customer for about 2 years.

I am a new renter and so far, have had a fantastic experience with Realty Group Property Management. Moving can be stressful and RGPM were super responsive and helpful making this part of the relocation process stress free. I had some issues listed in my move in checklist and they literally came over the next day to address them. From finding the rental, to giving me information on setting up services, to move in, they have been wonderful. Also, paying my rent is a breeze with their online system. Don't rent with them. They are unresponsive. I had issues from day 1 of move-in move I should taken the sign. The sad part to me is that the condo owner is paying for this awful service and now I most likely will not be signing my renewal because of the lack of service even though I love the condo and area. Maintenance takes months, email signatures have phone numbers that don't work when you call, the office phone is never answered.

Different staff text me from several different numbers then don't text back. This is my home. It's my largest expense and they treat it like it means nothing to them. So sad. Wish I could tell the owner what she is paying for. Update: I heard back after this review. Was told service would improve. However, my new microwave was not installed on the day they told me it would be.

I had to email them three days later. They responded once with an excuse and then did not tell me that it would be installed that day. So I came home to find my toilet seat up, my bath mat dirty from shoe dirt, and my kitchen towel on the counter. Clearly, the vendors do not care about leaving the house in the same condition that they found it and the management company doesn't care at all about communicating when their plans change.

I no longer want to renew a 12 month lease here. I wish the owner of this condo and all the equity partners in this company knew the service that the tenants were receiving. There is no way this business will sustain like this as I'm sure turnover is bound to be high. Thank God I have not signed my renewal yet. If you have any ownership in this company please contact me. I have some genuine suggestions about how you can improve your business and staff, if you care.
