Worst experience! I've lived in multiple apartments, rental homes, etc and I have NEVER had an experience like this. We had on time payments with no severe damage to the home (except for carpet replacement after 2 years and having pets visit here and there) Which we totally agreed to. We were under Vickie as our landlord and was treated incredibly unfair.

She would e-mail me constantly scolding me like a child. Super unprofessional. Telling me my house made her sick when the only thing damaged was carpet. We added many nice things to the home and tried to make the front and back yard nice as it was trash when we moved in. I kept the house clean 24/7 as I work full time and a mother. But yet I still kept the home in great condition minus the carpet.

They entered our rental home and changed our A/C to 52 degrees and left it running non stop for days while they went in and out of the home before we even technically moved out and the A/C still under our name resulting in a $250 bill along with going in and fixing minor damages that we legally were allowed to fix our selves before turning in keys on our move out date and then turned around and tried to charge us for it all. INCLUDING CHIPPED PAINT AND LIGHT BULBS.

They took $40 off our rent because when we moved in it wasn't mowed and was extremely over grown but before we even moved out they came and mowed the lawn after we had done so 2 weeks before hand and came back to do the last time and they turned around and charged us double the amount they took off our rent for our own labor. They totally ripped us off and tried to up charge us.

They also TRIED to charge damages that were listed on the inventory and condition form which is supposed to protect me from damages already there before we move in. Vickie showed many signs of FAIR HOUSING. I work in the apartment industry and when I put in a maintenance request with Vickie she suggested I ask my own maintenance technician at MY JOB to come fix it and then she would pay him instead of sending someone out for us.

I would suggest to NOT lease here unless you want to get overly charged, harassed, and scolded by Vickie. Not a peaceful company to rent from. I would like to see how "perfect" her home is for how much she talked down to me. I am a resident, not your daughter. They are so unprofessional and obviously do not know the laws of leasing out apartments/rental homes.

If I treated any of my residents the way they treated us, I would have been FIRED. They gave me a total due at our move out and when I added up all the charges they charged us it didn't even match up to what they gave us! They also told me "pay us ASAP" when my lease stated I had 2 weeks to pay. At the end of all the mess, I believe they realized they had royally screwed up and agreed to accepting payment for our damages we agreed to from the beginning.

I will never again lease from this company nor will I refer them to any of my friends, family, or residents. And honestly, I am just disappointed because we loved living in this neighborhood and loved the house itself. But they way I was disrespected and treated and told "you need to contact the owners there is nothing I can do, I suggest you don't argue with them". It was a very stressful situation for me as I try to take responsibility for everything and pay my debts. Very unfair and unprofessional.

I called this place up because I was interested in a house they had listed online. I was planning on renting the house with a few fellow young professionals, but after 10 seconds of phone conversation, Vickie Diedrick told me they would only consider renting to a family. Not sure if they were discriminating against marital status, source of income, or familial status, but considering that Denton is a college town, they need to get their fair housing guidelines straight.
