I first began working with Rochelle 3 years ago. She helped us find new tenants for our condo. It was one of the smoothest transitions from getting our previous tenants moved out to finding new tenants, which she found in a matter of a few days. We were not in Seattle at the time so it was quite a relief to have someone trusting take care of the whole process.

Worst property Management you could ever have. They take forever to make repairs with no response. Then when you try and move out they will take your security deposit and try to charge you for damage that was there before you moved in. Look elsewhere if possible.

Literally the worst rental of our life dealing with this company as our property manager. We only had a lease for 1.5years at this home and we could not wait to leave. Literally every appliance broke (not an exaggeration) during our lease & we were without out a dishwasher, washing machine, hot water, stove, etc. for months at a time because of the lack of communication from our property manager.

At one point we decided to stay at a different residence because the home was so unlivable. On top of having so many people coming in to constantly fix appliances (some appliance were broken more by the repair person, some were installed incorrectly costing us hundreds in electricity bills which shows that they hired cheap companies to cut costs), the owner wanted to refinance the home during Covid.

That meant multiple appraisers and potential buyers (on top of maintenance) filtering in and out of our family of 3 home, during a pandemic. They never asked when a good time to come by would be, they always just made the schedule and we had to adhere. Some viewers even came by unannounced onto our deck while my young son was nude, playing in the living room - it was a disgustingly huge invasion of privacy.

During the last month of our lease, the owner had a month of exterior repairs scheduled EVERYDAY so we asked if we could terminate our lease early because of the noise nuisance, and they refused. At this point we just moved somewhere else because myself and my partner worked from home and the noise was an issue for our jobs and our water heater was still broken anywhere.

We chose to pay 2 rents than to stay in that home any longer. At the end of our lease they refunded only half of our security deposit and claimed it was due to a delay in Bothell City water bill although on the Sagen Reality Portal there were no fees due on the last day of our lease. Sagen Reality was in control of posting the water bill, that was not through an account I opened.

Overall this company has zero regard for their tenants and did not compromise even when it was clear they legally would have to if I had the money to bring them to court. Do no rent or buy from them, it will be a huge mistake.

What a horrible experience we had with them. They refused to refund our last month rent (which is illegal), they're charging us to replace a 12 year old carpet and stopped responding to our requests after just one response. They're clearly taking advantage of us because we moved out of state. Stay away from Sagen Group or if you must deal with them, make sure to document everything and never trust them (they'll lie and keep the money they owe you). If you're an owner, just know that you're dealing with a slumlord.

Terrible customer service by Jenifer! Absolutely unprofessional! Could have given zero or negative stars if Google had that option! She agreed on a rent price and made us apply saying she would cancel the open house if we apply immediately and said our applications would be processed asap. She still did have the open house without informing us and took another application at a higher price!

And the worst part is she didn't even have the courtesy to tell us that! We found it out after I asked the status of our application. We wouldn't have applied in the first place if she clearly told us that she'll still look for someone with a higher rent. Thoroughly unethical and unprofessional. I hope no one ever has to deal with Jennifer from Sagen group!

Extremely poor customer service. Cheap rent. Employees are constantly angry and take a long time to fix things that a broken. When moved in I was told the house was going to be cleaned but it was filthy. Had major leaks in toilettes and sinks which caused a massive water bill. When I told the property manager it took over a month to get fixed. Try to look elsewhere if possible.

Total Slum Lord, beware! Let me tell you that this organization is awful! I have rented from Laura Sagen's property management company for a number of years and until now I have held my tongue about their horrible service and total disregard for my family's health and safety. But that is over and I want to tell you all about my experience so that you can save yourself the hassle of dealing with such a disreputable organization as Laura Sagen's property management company.

A number of years ago the plumbing started leaking in my bathrooms and aside from getting several free estimates she has done little to rectify the situation. After about 6 years she finally got a new faucet installed. Of course it was leaking from day 1 and there is still all sorts of trim molding left uninstalled. Basically she tells me that its not and emergency and that the home owner doesn't want to spend any money on getting the problem fixed.

Very early on the asbestos floor tiles started cracking and popping up off the floor. I even provided her with a bid from a flooring contractor to get the job done when it was a small problem that could have been fixed for cheap. Now the floor is 75% missing and still no repair. I guess that Laura Sagen doesn't care about the health of my family. At one point she told me that the property management company contracted an annual furnace inspection. this has happened 1 in 6 years.

When my stairs were broken and dangerous to use she hired her regular handyman. Based on his level of skill I would guess that he is not a licensed, bonded or insured contractor. My garage door malfunctioned and was stuck in the open position for 2 days. I finally paid out of pocket for the repair after Laura Sagen assured me that I would be reimbursed. Well, that was a couple of months ago and still no payback.

Now dear reader I'm not saying that Laura Sagen is a liar, I'm saying that what she said she would do she never did and doesn't seem like she is working to hard get pay me back for fixing the door. Most recently I told her that the wood burning fire place was malfunctioning. She told me it was my own fault and gave me some instructions on how to light a fire in a fire place (I'm from Montana, I know how to use a fireplace).

When I recently attempted to use the fireplace with her instructions, my entire living room filled with smoke and caused smoke damage to all my furnishings. I actually filed a claim with my insurance agent and she told my agent that it was my fault for using it in the first place. Beware of this company. They have shown me nothing but a level of contempt that I could only equate with that of an ex-girlfriend, not someone who continues to pay his rent diligently even though she has raised the rent $700 over the past 6 years with out making any improvements.

This was the worst landlord/management experience and I highly recommend that anyone thinking about renting a property managed by Sagen Group look elsewhere. When turning in an application, they required us to write a check for $1300 as a nonrefundable deposit if we were selected to rent the house. After being vetted and selected, we showed up to the house to sign our lease.

The yard was still unkept. Garbage was left throughout the basement including soiled kitty litter box and a smelly recliner. The kitchen was still a mess, with food splattered around the stove. It was a mistake to sign but we felt pressured by our nonrefundable deposit and were reassured that the mess would be cleaned up. The yard cleanup took a week to arrive.

The pile of garbage took three weeks and numerous phone calls, including pictures to convince them that, no, they had not removed the garbage. While moving in, we realized that the paint was in terrible condition; Nail holes throughout. Spills of foodstuff down the walls. A closet that a cat obviously used as a toilet. Blinds that did not function.

We asked them to address the problems and were ignored. They were planning on painting after we moved out. Eventually, Sagen offered to pay us $25/room to paint. Obviously this didn't even cover the cost of paint, let alone supplies. You're welcome! At the end of our lease, Sagen told us our rent would increase from $1695/mo to $1795/mo if we resigned.

We declined that offered and decided to move. We were sent notices of late rent. We had to ask that they review our lease and payments because they charged us first, last, and deposit to move in. Good try though! We cleaned the house to perfection. We weeded the garden beds, mowed, and trimmed the fence line. We washed the windows and mopped the floors.

But it wasn't enough. In addition to the $150 non-refundable fee (which I thought was for cleaning), Sagen withheld an addition $150 because "1" bag of trash was left in the trash can outside. This, after the yard full of garbage that took three weeks for them to remove for us. So, if you ever see Sagen Group named on a listing you're considering, please consider walking away. Save yourself the time, energy, and money.

We've been working with Rochelle for several years now and we have come to really appreciate how she manages our property na tenants VS. other property managers. She's dedicated and truly has our interests in mind, watching the property closely for needed maintenance or repairs, completing requested improvements or repairs, leasing to quality tenants and also enforcing the rules with them in a fair manner.

We were impressed with the condition of the property during a recent visit, and I have to admit I don't believe its the simplest property to manage or maintain. She met with us on a recent Sunday to inspect the property right before attending an athletic activity for her son. It was the weekend, and she had plans, but since we're out of state residents working with little time in Seattle, she expended effort and worked us into her schedule.

We had other employed WA property managers that didn't have time to meet with us while while we were visiting the Seattle area, even though we'd traveled close to 2000 miles from TX to be there. Rochelle is a great asset to us, and we not only consider her a great professional ally, but also a personal friend-She's also a great representative for your company.
