I rented from Doug for 2 years while attending the University of Michigan and loved my time spent at 525 Benjamin! He was always very helpful and understanding, even when mishaps do happen. If you're looking for a reasonable, timely, friendly, and easy to work with landlord - look no further! Highly recommend The Spaly Group and Doug!

Having Doug as a landlord for 3 years was such a pleasure! He has to be the kindest, most respectful landlord in all of AA. He truly makes sure all of his tenants have the best experience - shoveling snow/ice, bringing in packages & mail if you're not around, giving plenty of heads up if he needs to stop by, fixing things that need to be fixed in an incredibly timely manner, updating/renovating things around the apartment (he installed new tile in our kitchen!), etc. I highly recommend 1506 Packard, but I'm sure all of his rentals are just as amazing!

I rented with Doug for 2 years, and it was such a great experience. Doug was responsive to any issue that I had and was great at communicating with me! He would come right out/send someone out if an issue came up. He has been super accommodating over the last few years. I loved the quality of the apartments (I first lived in a 3 bedroom with roommates, and then moved to a one bedroom). He was great with upkeep, and the apartments are in really good shape. I would definitely encourage folks to rent from Doug, I will miss him as my landlord!

Ann Arbor is chock-full with awful apartments and worse landlords. Doug Spaly is a diamond in the rough. His properties are beautiful and well-maintained. Doug has been easy to reach, responsive, fair and helpful during my 1.5 year time renting. I would gladly recommend him, and his properties, for anyone looking to rent in A2!

I lived in a property owned by Doug Spaly for 3 years and could not have asked for a kinder or more fair landlord. He quickly arrived or had someone else come when anything needed to be fixed and gave plenty of notice when showing the apartment. Was always updating the place - our bathroom had just been redone when we moved in. He went above and beyond by buying a new stone lion bust to keep the character of the apartment when the old one was smashed, and calling after I had moved out to let me know that packages had come for me and coordinating pick up.
