They are really great property managers. Everyone in the office is a pro. I rented an apartment from them for around 4 years. They took care of repairs quickly and resolved any issues on the property. They are very busy! So you have to be reasonable with them! But if you pay your rent and report problems/repairs straightaway, you're not going to have any issues. You can't ask for much more from a property manager. I highly recommend them!

I called today inquiring of an apartment she puts me on hold Asian lady then says I'll call you back 30 secs later the add is taken down she never calls back. I have a house this was just to see my doctor in Santa Monica. So I called 3 different numbers all the same company of I can't reach her. First time caller and treated like this. Voice tells people your ethnic group and people make their decisions based upon that. 2022 still racist, but funny all calling themselves Americans are liars for American now called is a stolen continent. Therefore you're fake Americans. English Spanish

We have had nothing but good experiences with Sullivan Dituri. They are quick to send someone any time we have a problem in our apartment, and they always send someone really competent and also friendly and respectful. We recently had a minor flood that required carpet dryers to run for 72 hours. Not only did they get the repair done promptly but they let us pick our own hotel and then reimbursed us for the time we couldn't be at home. It really took the stress and anxiety out of what could have been an unpleasant weekend. We heart Meagan and Sully D!

I leased from Sullivan Dituri for 12 years. Always paid my rent on time, didn't ask for anything, did most repairs myself, didn't complain, etc. When I moved in, the cheap apartment carpeting was already old, so after 12 years it was shot. When I moved out they deducted from my deposit the cost to repair the $.077 sq ft carpet that was way beyond it's shelf life and they charged me to clean it too.

They also charged me to clean the apartment after I moved, even though I spent $250 for a housekeeper to clean it top to bottom and it was dirty when I first moved in. I've emailed them many times to get some backup for the supposed expenses, and they keep saying they'll forward to maintenance. Obviously they're lying. I left expensive lighting and window shades in the place because I didn't need them. Had I known, I would have removed them and placed them in the trash rather than give them one single thing. Speaking of trash, the downstairs neighbor took my old cat tree out to the trash after I moved and they charged me to dispose of it. Let's talk about actually renting through them though, because that's where they really shine.

The few repairs I asked for were so done so janky that I preferred to handle myself, there were constant mold problems in the building, they wouldn't paint. They turned the water pressure down so low that it took me over 9 minutes to get hot water in the kitchen (I timed it) and another 4 minutes to fill the sink. Do yourself a favor, rent from anyone else. They're the worst.

I have been a tenant of this company for over 30 years in various properties. They offer great renting opportunities and are reliable and responsive. I haven't any problems with their staff or their properties. Would soundly recommend any one looking to rent in the Santa Monica area to call in and see what they have to offer

I had an issue- that I asked them to resolve and they tried to do that immediately. then there was a misunderstanding with their resolution. and they resolved that as well. Effort matters and Sullivan Dituri showed effort and integrity with me. I rent in Santa Monica and I really appreciate the professionalism and integrity from Sullivan Dituri. Thanks- Mikal

Whoever said that this staff is professional is a liar. each time we have called this office, they have responded with absolutely horrible customer service. jonie and claudi specifically have yelled at us over the phone and are completely uncooperative. we had a gas leak (a literal living hazard) and were ignored for 2 months. if you want to rent from this company just do not. there are also rat infestations in this building that the company has refused to act on (they just yelled over the phone) would give a 0 star if i could :)

Absolutely horrible and rude customer service (Claudia). I have three mice in my kitchen and they have been super reluctant to fix our situation. The apartment is built horribly, hence why the mice are able to come from under the kitchen cabinets, and the company has been really slow in handling our situation. We have been living with rodents for three days and have not been able to step into our kitchen at all. Do not lease from this company unless you like fighting with people on the phone and over email.

The management of Sullivan Dituri is horrendous. Even if the price is good or the apartment is big, it is not worth it. We had a major gas leak in our kitchen, which should have been resolved before we even moved in. We contacted Sullivan Dituri to request them to cover our enormous gas bill, and Jomie was so rude and demeaning. She kept telling us it was not an urgent matter and that it was our responsibility to take care of the gas issue.

A friend of mine had 3 mice in their kitchen because of holes underneath the kitchen, and the management had the audacity to be SO RUDE and call them unreasonable for complaining after Sullivan took over three days to send someone to find the holes in the kitchen. Overall, just a terrible company with management that makes no attempt to help out their tenants in any way.

They offer no support and make solving any issue a long process. We are still trying to get a roach problem fixed in our apartment and know that contacting Sullivan will lead nowhere. JOMIE and CLAUDIA are the two main people that have been overly rude to us and have never been kind to us in any way.

If you are a person that won't call your property manager for anything going on with the facilities, this place is great. If a bad neighbor, leak or faulty fire alarm is something you could see yourself calling and asking for assistance with, don't move here. I called one time trying to confirm they received my online payment and got into an argument with Jomie on the phone literally shouting back and forth at each other because she cuts you off and doesn't listen to you.

I just called her now asking for help setting up my automatic payments because the software they use for tenant's payments, Rent Cafe is only desktop compatible (I can't even use it on my laptop) and she told me to call them and complain about it myself. I had to explain to her that Sullivan Dituri is technically the customer of Rent Cafe and it wasn't my place to complain.

They have like 2 people that are friendly, the rest of the people I speak to treat you like your subordinates and not customers that pay to keep a roof over THEIR heads. Guess they don't need or want customer's that like to communicate. They're just rude. Whenever I call I hope and wish that I get lucky and get someone on the phone that won't speak to me rudely and actually HELP me resolve my issue.

Getting my keys to my new apartment tomorrow. They work with section 8 vouchers. The only thing iI didn't care for is they don't put the square footage in thier ads nor will they divulge that information if you ask. They say you have to go view the units to see for yourself.

Worst company ever. DO NOT RENT ANY OF THEIR PROPERTIES. They come to the property unannounced and say they are legally allowed to go into the private backyard area as long as they don't go into the unit. JOMIE is very rude and unprofessional. Asked if I could speak to anyone above her and she flat out said no. They have people come to fix things at the property and have them park in the driveway and block everyone in. Called to ask if they wouldn't let people park in front of the driveway and JOMIE said that they are allowed to do that and she can't do anything. JOMIE needs to be fired. Also I'm not the type to leave reviews but I had to make a yelp just for this one. I'm appalled by her incompetence.

The staff is very friendly and helpful and they have a plethora of properties to choose from. However, it is very unfortunate they do not cooperate with brokers as I have brought them many great tenants.with no compensation whatsoever.

My partner and I have lived at a SD managed building for a number of years. The company is quick to reply to email, quick to make repairs, and takes pride is the upkeep of the building. I especially appreciated how gorgeous the apartment was when we first moved in. Pilar is incredible and a true asset to the company.

During COVID, Sullivan Dituri has been especially helpful through the hard times. I lost my job and communicated with them that I can only pay a small portion of rent a month and they were more than willing to work with this. They are very understanding that during these times some people are unable to pay rent. They answer all of my questions when I have call and have helped with issues that have come up with the apartment.

Broke the law by trying to exit a tenant during COVID moratorium. Doesnt address any concerns of tenants and are the least bit reasonable. They break laws left and right. Just a matter of time before someone actually takes them to court. Not my problem anymore but good luck for those of you still there

They have managed my building for many years and over the years they have been great at getting things fixed or addressing issues. They always let me know when they need to come into my apt with plenty of notice. Bill Dawson in particular has been outstanding at addressing more the complex issues and getting things handled around the property. Most of the staff is very helpful and the response time from them during this covid situation has been great! Thanks for everything!

I just want to say that we have had a rat living in our wall for weeks now. My boyfriend called it in. A few days later a guy came to close up all of the spaces beneath the place with mesh wire. My boyfriend happened to be there and reminded the guy to make sure they called pest co trip to ensure the rat was gone first. The man nodded "okay, of course".

So now, two weeks later we are still listening to the rat in the wall. Probably eating wood to stay alive. What do tenants paying crazy market rents for a broken down pre-war apartment have to do?

Where to begin? How about Sullivan and Ditori is the WORST property management company on earth. They need to do everyone a favor and shut down. I have never been treated with such disrespect in my life- even after offering them tens of thousands of dollars upfront. What a racket!

I have been with this Company for over 20 years and they're simply great. Very professional, assessing repairs as fast as they can, with a staff always nice and responsive. I read below a couple of complaints and I would suggest these complaints are from people may be not always fully knowing how a property management company works. For example, I read a reviewer complaining about property gate issue but I know that Dituri has great concerns for properties security, and that when this kind of problem occurs, they assess it ASAP and they prioritize that specific "issue.

Same reviewer complains about a stolen package in multi appartment complex, (in Amazon days everyone knows it's an issue everywhere) and Dituri not installing a PO box in the building for this purpose. Regulations aside and with the fact that no "PO Box" will hold multiple packages daily received for tenants in a muti-units property, it needs to be understood that Management Company is not the building owner, which would be the one to decide on financing such a project.

If Dituri has suggested to the Property owner to do any improvement work, it would be then owner's choice or possibility to finance such a project, and not the management Company, which might have done its best by folowing up and suggesting the improvement to the property's owner. Same reviewer complains about no on-site manager. Well, if the complex has fewer than 16 units, it's not mandatory to have an on-site manager, and same here, it would be the property owner cost choice to hire one.

Again Dituri Company can't be blamed for that. So in a word the 1star rating I saw (and few others I saw for other wrong reasons) is not deserved. A great and experienced Company in my opinion.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! If i could leave a Negative Star I would. This old lady name Jonnie(or jomie?) with heavy accent, she does not care about tenant's request or resolve complaints but she loves to gossip and create drama. She told me to solve my own problems and stop bothering them for my service request. REALLY? she is rude, mean and probably miserable.

She treats the tenants as their ENEMIES! Why are you even working here? is it because its the only job you can find? It's like they're intentionally trying to be bad. I love my apartments but its a nightmare dealing with them

This company is excellent and have been flexible, professional, and kind in all of our dealings. When my roommate and I had to withdraw our 30 days notice after having terrible experience with another property management company, Sullivan Dituri made it so easy and alleviated the stress of potentially being out of a place to live. I highly recommend renting from Sullivan Dituri. PIlar is amazing and has been nothing but responsive and helpful.

This is one of many other companies of 'property management' who only employ women in their offices. they refuse to tell you square footage or even size before you visit a place. they threaten to charge you for changing locks if you are a few hours late returning the key they make you take to view the property yourself. overall they are polite but they clearly don't make any efforts to be helpful, informative, or frankly worth time doing business. i give this business 2 thumbs down but hope they will turn things around

This "realty company" is probably the WORST in Southern California. They were rude and extremely unprofessional. Very incompetent management. We communicated with Jomie who is the property manager. Her emails were almost illiterate and talking to her on the phone was always a waste of time. She was rude and only cared about getting our monthly rent.

The apartment itself was so mismanaged and run-down. We rented a place in Westwood near UCLA. If you get one of these terrible units, which I highly advise against, BEWARE OF THE SINK. Specifically, the garbage disposal switch is in the worst and most dangerous location ever. Do yourself and your roommates a favor and go through a respectable agency to rent an apartment. Hopefully Sullivan Dituri will learn from these terrible reviews and improve their service. As of now, they are true snakes!

I have NEVER been that much disappointed about an agency. The people that work there and especially the lady who took "care" of me was really unfriendly and NOT helpful at all. Worst, I was clearly annoying her with my questions! She barely answered me, and asked me a couple of time to look at their website or their rental list by her desk. REALLY?

Why are you even working here if you don't want to answer any questions of a person who would be willing to rent one of your property?! What a JOKE! I wonder why such a company has an actual office if nobody is willing to take care of you. I am from Paris, and as rude as we can be sometimes, it has never been anywhere close to that kind of service. NO STAR AT ALL!
