I've lived here for a year and have no complaints the building is clean and the tenants are quiet. The apartments are beautiful and spacious and the view is amazing! I haven't had a bug problem, actually haven't even seen a bug yet. I had a problem with my plumbing and someone came immediately as well as a loose shelf that was installed before I moved in.

Everyone there is very friendly; Christina, the property manager is reasonable and respectful, as well as the leasing agent- Emily. They always make sure to establish a connection with the residents. The tenants are nice and I have never heard anything but good things from them. It's a shame that people only come here to complain and the rating will steer people away. But this is the best apartment i've ever lived in!

Bed bugs and beetles. As soon as moved in, I found the kitchen was overrun with pantry beetles. These beetles were in every corner of the kitchen, living in piles of old food under all the appliances. I alerted the landlord to exactly what the problem was and even the identity of the bugs. I waited for Orkin to come, I waited for Orkin to order stuff to treat, and I am still waiting.

It took a lot of convincing to get them to do anything about the beetles. It didn't take long for the beetles to infest my things. I was revolted to find them in my coffee machine. Having lived there less than 2 weeks, I then found constallations of bite marks on my body and bed bug shells behind my bed. They brought Orkin back and couldn't find live bugs. Sutten would rather let the infestation grow than treat it.

I have since left the apartment, with all my stuff still there. It will cost a lot of money to get the bugs out of all my possessions. Their response to my emails really sums up their attitude: "When agreeing to a sublet, you are agreeing to take the apartment as is"

Seems like there should be an update. Still not a great place to live. Water cuts out randomly and there isn't a super on site to fix problems urgently if needed. Either Syracuse water and power have trouble reinforcing their water main as the reason is always "water main broke" or they are just making an excuse. I would bet on the latter as their sister building would have water.

Parking lot isn't well maintained and no one can park straight. No cameras in the lot so if someone scrapes your car, good luck trying to find out who. They do a pest control inspection routinely and multiple times a year which I'm not sure if it is a good or bad thing. Numerous pigeon droppings on your balcony (which they say is your responsibility to clean). In retrospect, would find somewhere else to live.

Sutton came to my office today looking to talk about "my lease". So rude. We couldn't get them to leave. There should be laws against this!

I am one of many resident physicians who unfortunately lived in Jefferson Tower. For those of you who will be moving to this area, here are a few issues with this apartment complex: - Pigeon droppings on the balcony - this problem is NOT being appropriately addressed. Air conditioner has young pigeons living underneath on the outside. The WHOLE balcony has pigeon feces (sometimes despite placement of spikes), and THIS is the air that is seeped in through your air conditioner into the living room. - Daily construction drilling is very loud, disturbing, and has been going on for over 6 years, without any obvious progress.

This drilling is supposedly for new balconies being renovated? - Management is VERY slow to respond to your work requests. Or may not respond. - Parking lot is NOT secure and cars have been broken into. - When you have something mailed it is placed into one small room that is open to all at times when security is not there. Things can easily get stolen or lost.

Management is aware of all of the problems listed above and many more, though there is nothing they will do about it. We continue to live here due to its close proximity to the hospital. If you need to live here, it is bearable, however I do want you to be aware that there are a lot of new apartment complexes that were not available a few years ago around the hospital. These new places hold higher standards for appropriate prices.

Question for anyone who lives here, how much do you actually pay rent, what is included? prices listed look too good to be true.

Prices and lease stipulations were fair. I never had any problems reaching the leasing agent with any questions or concerns, and he was always friendly and courteous.

Terrible, don't do my mistake, don't live there or you will be measurable and depressed. Management are rude and unprofessional, I 81 next door and construction all summer. No privacy they get in apartments without notice or very short notice. Windows never cleaned probably for the last 5 years, yet they ask you to clean the windows from inside when vacating.

I asked to clean the pigeon shit in the balcony and they said NO. They have a big problem with pigeons. It is not downtown really but rather on the edge of downtown which makes it even more unsafe. Syracuse has many better places, do yourself a big favor by not living in Jefferson tower.

This company is extremely racist and judgemental. I have a credit score of near 600 (not the greatest, but can guarantee by the looks of the people living there, my score is good.) I have no evictions and a good rental record. I follow the criteria for housing. Somehow they lied on the denial letter stating my landlord references were bad. Not the case at all. Predominately white only. No wonder why no one wants to tour in Syracuse or even build businesses there. It is a rotting cesspool.

This company always goes above and beyond the call of any type of Landlord duty.

Sutton kept my security deposit illegally. I vacated the apartment in good condition and had paid my rent every month. I spoke a man named Kevin about this several times and have been given the run-around each time. My hope is that others will read this and steer clear because this company will take your money and not give it back even when you have kept your half of the bargain.
