Texas Lawn Care

My wife called to get a free estimate as their website advertises and they basically said they arent coming out unless they are guaranteed business. We live in Katy. Very unprofessional. Buyer beware! We just wanted an estimate on the work. Warranty or not, obviously if we need to get the work done out of warranty and then sue the builder for the costs, we are legitimately shopping around. Plenty of other lawncare and drainage companies out there happy to take the job.

I've been using these guys for years now and they always do a great job. I called them in to replace my entire landscaping after the big freeze. Took care of everything. Their stump grinder made a bit of a mess - they brought out sand and sod free of charge to make it better than it was. The owner supervised the installation to make sure it was done right.

JMAS Texas Lawn care did an excellent job start to finish. They were prompt in responding to my emails to acquire service and send quotes. After we agreed on the quote they were out the next day and removed 3 trees, planted new trees and mulched. They had to cut some lighting wiring during the tree extraction but had someone on site who re-wired the lightings and made sure they all worked. They even confirmed the sprinklers were all working before they left. They did a great job and I will use their services in the future.

Juan and his crew were phenomenal! Extremely timely, kept my yard cleaned up, they went above and beyond! Our yards, front and back had been destroyed when we had to have our sewer system replaced. They completely changed our yard from a lifeless mud pit to a beautiful well designed yard with awesome curb appeal! He built a beautiful stone patio in the back of the house. I am so please and would recommend them to everyone.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality Inefficient, over priced and poor customer service.

Texas Lawn Care was recommended for trimming trees by a neighbor. We got a free estimate quickly, which was very reasonable, and they explained why certain things should be done. I really appreciated that AND the fair price. I mentioned a drainage / soil erosion issue we've been battling for over a year, and they offered a great solution - also at a fair price.

They did the work quickly and even added an extra drain at no charge. Very reputable company, and I highly recommend them for any irrigation or landscaping needs in the Katy area!

Texas Lawn Care did a fabulous job refurbishing our existing flowerbeds. They contructed a beautiful stone area for our garden bench, mulched, planted new flowers and a couple of large shrubs and sodded most of our front yard. We are very pleased with the finished project and enjoyed working with Ryan as well as the owner of the company. The price for this project was reasonable. We are happy clients.

Texas Lawn care just refurbished our flower beds, put down sod to cover dead areas, planted new flowers, two shrubs and built a beautiful stone area for our garden bench and mulched. Terrible service.contracted for a year.upon there first lawn job they broke two drainage pipes along the side of the house. They said they would replace them but it has been six months and after repeated requests to honor their commitment to correct the damage they have caused they have done nothing. Further, several services that we contracted for are either not done at all or or done poorly.

Work level quality is inconsistent. Workers are in and out as quick as they can.and the lawn and gardens looks like crap after six months. Weeds around the trees, bed gardens, and sidewalks which they are supposed to attended to are routinely ignored and left. Do your self a big favor and avoid this company.poor service, low quality work, dishonest, and high priced.

When we were in search of a landscaper who could give us the best re-design of our yard and give us the best price on a sprinkler, I called 5 businesses and this was one of them. We wanted a sprinkler to (obviously) water our yard and make it easier on us to that it was watered regardless of our schedule. Did our yard need more water? Yes. Did our tree need more water? Sure, but it's a healthy tree, so it wasn't in dire need or on the brink of death.

We also wanted a better plant variety than what we had. So, JMAS sent out their best man. He was nice and courteous, but he said several things right off the bat that tipped me off that he was full of crap. (1) He told me our tree had rough bark, which meant it needed more water. He attempted to show his point by pointing to a neighbor's tree saying our tree's bark should be as smooth as that tree. Hmm. True, both trees are oak trees, but they are different types of oak and they have different bark textures. (2) He recommended I call his brother to trim the tree because a regular person couldn't do a good enough job. (3) He recommended I call his brother to do the landscape because that was his brother's business. Didn't he just say his brother trimmed trees?

Now it's landscaping? Either way, when I called this business for a sprinkler and landscaping estimate, they said they could do both; but I guess not. After he left, I called a local tree nursery and asked about the tree bark remark. Sure enough, they shared my opinion that he was full of crap. I never called the guy's brother, and I never called them back, especially after I got their estimate for the sprinkler alone: $500/zone, 4 zones for my yard. If you want someone nice to chat with, call them out. If you want an actual contender on your contractor list, just pass them by and call someone else.
