So far so good. I have a small, can be big, issue with a neighbor. But, over all, I have had a great experience here! I had a water leak issue last week. Donnie Everman and Kyle Thomas stepped up to the plate and were there with the quickness! Thanks! Update. I put in a couple work requests. Nothing big. They were here in a couple days to take care of it. You guys are awesome! Thank you again! P.S. my son loves the pool!

I relocated to Kokomo and have lived at Turtle Creek apartments going on 2 months. I love it here and would highly recommend this apartment community to anyone. Management and staff here is wonderful, everyone is so friendly and they do an awesome job keeping it clean and maintained. Very well run. I feel very comfortable living here, it is quiet, conveniently located to grocery, pharmacy, shopping, restaurants and close enough drive to hospitals, doctor offices. I am very happy I chose this community to live.

Tarie, Donny, Dan, Bonnie and Brittony is the best group of people to run a complex. Everything maintenance wise is always done in a respectable time. Brittony and Tarie always have a welcoming smile and helps resolve every issue I have had. And Bonnie is absolutely a treat to talk to. 100% I'd recommend turtle Creek to anyone looking for an apartment.

Honestly, this place is pretty bad. It's convenient, but that's about it. It might be perfect for you if you reside on your own, but good luck having more than one person here. I've loved at this place for almost 2 years, and I will say that it's the worst decision I ever made. Only reason I've stayed here this long is because I hate moving. The office does not like handling any confrontation or issues you bring to them.

Not once have they ever gotten back with me about anything that wasn't a maintenance request. And even then they aren't efficient because I'm still waiting on my super unsafe balcony to get fixed, almost 2 years of waiting. My first year here, there were three separate incidences of gun shots going off right outside my balcony window. Not once did they ever get back with me on that.

There have also been incidents of being woken up at 2am because of people honking, screaming, car alarms going off, etc. When I first moved in, I thought I could get over the 1 air conditioning unit in the living room. That was before I realized I had to deep clean it because it was covered in mold. Then, I quickly found out that the air didn't reach the entire apartment without two fans helping it along, no matter what temperature it was set on.

My apartment is not big, at all. In the winter, you have to tape up your balcony door and all the windows. For heat, you use base heaters. They stink, they're weird, they're touchy, and it makes it pretty hard to arrange your apartment because you can't cover those. The outside doors have to be opened with a key. Mine was constantly broken or stuck.

The washers and dryers are terrible. The loads are so small, and the prices are ridiculous. They're also broken about 50% of the time. The apartments are pretty pricey for the size and lack of quality you receive. I quickly had to get a "new" dishwasher and water heater my first year here. The worker told me that all of their appliances, windows, base heaters, air conditions, and balcony doors are outdated.

He also stated that it was pretty difficult to get new ones so their "new" appliances were actually just repaired appliances. You can hear and smell everything, by the way. Yes, I know when living in apartments that's bound to happen, but this is the worst I have experienced. I literally smell and hear EVERYTHING. There's probably more, but this post is long enough. Don't live here unless your desperate or literally just don't care.

Stuff never gets fixed. You have to call 3 to 4 times just to finally get stuff looked at. The owners then have the balls to keep upping the rent. The wooden patios are rotting on the outside and falling apart but have yet to get fixed the a/c is basically non existent and wont get fixed. The staircase outside are apartment to the 2nd floor stayed broken for almost two weeks.

The owners are basically slum lords. Other tenants are always fighting and getting cops called on themselves. Shots have been fired outside my apartment. Edit: the new owners have already made improvements to the building and seem proactive. I've changed the rating from a 1 star to a 3 star. I hope the experience keeps improving.

Don't live here! Although it is in walking distance of a lot of things, it's a dump and getting worse every day. My daughter lived here until I decided to move her out last month. Drug sales and druggies. One window ac unit that is useless. and the hallways are not air conditioned so they are hot and terribly smelly. The deck on my daughter's apartment was covered with GREEN MOLD and it wobbled and was rotten.

Maintenance was basically nonexistent. They seem nice until you move in--and then they don't care if the apartment falls to pieces. The dishwasher leaked and groaned and was falling halfway out of the niche where it was placed. The bathroom was never right--plastic and cheap and also tend to mildew. The mold and mildew are killers! The pool is filthy. I could go on, but suffice to say, do NOT rent from these people. Absolutely unacceptable on any level--being homeless might be worse--but certainly nothing else.

I have been living here for almost a year and I honestly can not wait until my lease is up. I have had so many issues with the office personnel not doing anything about complaints and they are incredibly rude and off putting when you try to talk to them about anything concerning the apartments. I have neighbors above me who allow their dog to use the bathroom on their deck and then they throw their dogs feces over their balcony onto my porch and bushes.

They also throw their dogs shaven fur over the edge and they drop their vacuum remnants over the edge. I have even had my porch chairs moved around by the people above me so they could climb up onto their balcony. The office does nothing about people parking in handicap spaces when there are many elderly people who live out here. Now I have told this to the office personnel each and every time and nothing has yet to be done about it.

Each resident I have talked to also claims that the office personnel does nothing about complaints as well. I have about one month left on my lease and I'm ready to leave. I will never recommend this apartment complex to anyone.

I just moved out of Turtle Creek Apartments, and I want to recommend it to possible seekers. The apartments are at least 30 years old, and there are pluses and minuses to that. On the plus side, carpeting throughout except in the kitchen nook and the bathroom. When you turn on the hot water in the shower, it gets hot in less than 10 seconds. Good water pressure.

Friendly staff, both in the rental office and Mike, who does maintenance extremely well. Minuses: baseboard heating and air conditioning units rather than central heat and air. In winter especially, the electric bills are a bit rough, and that's compounded by poor insulation. If you like bathtubs, they're a plus. Kitchen cabinets could be updated, and not much counter space. Reasonably priced, but be aware that the rent figure you're quoted does not include a separate monthly utilities fee for garbage pickup, water and sewer.

I have lived at Turtle Creek Kokomo two different times in my lifetime. Once in 1998 and again from 2008-2010. The management company has been the same both times I lived there. The property manager was different the 2nd time and I believe he is still there. He always treated me with respect and very professionally. As I read some of these reviews, I have to laugh to myself and wonder how much of their problems were brought on by themselves.

I am not sure which is worse their far fetched problems or their poor spelling. My apartments both times I stayed with Turtle Creek were a good value for the price. Maintenance was quick to respond to any issues I had and my neighbors were always very friendly.
