This management group is, hands down, the most dysfunctional operation I've ever worked with. By no means should you trust your community management to these individuals. The following individuals are the worst of the bunch: Scott Moore, James Beard, Kathy Williams and Michelle Underwood. If you get the pleasure of working with them, expect nothing but failed follow up and broken promises.

DISINGENUOUS. Just reviewed the co-owner's comments. What he means by "architectural" committee is the president of the Remington at Stone Crest HOA himself, R. Palos, who owns the house in the first place and self-deals, assisted greatly by co-owner of VMG, L. McKinley. It took me a year to find out thanks to VMG's misleading answers and delay tactics. An HOA (with help from the management company) is supposed to serve the community, not one individual's caprices at the expense of the community itself.

This review has been posted only because of VMG's demonstrably deceitful behavior. An organization is only as good as its people. At a minimum, VMG has a fiducial responsibility to homeowners. Note how the co-owner tries to distract from the issue - yet again. Incredible! You'd think he'd have a genuine concern or compassion as a good management company. NO!

Typical of VMG, disingenuous as ever. VMG has dragged other neighbors' much less intrusive plans for months. Thankfully, pictures speak louder than words! Impacted neighbors' concerns were ignored and intentionally minimized. Initially, VMG had refused to even share the names, and only the names, of our HOA board members which is public information by the way. I'd asked for the names out of convenience.

How much of a straighter question can one have? Half-truths are lies. Belligerent. Unethical. Grossly incompetent. Discouraging and preventing upstanding members of the community from serving on the board that's been lacking directors for years. Easier to control that way. Their careless behavior is evidence that they don't believe in rules, regulations and most importantly, the laws of the State of California.

Great management company. Every manager is highly qualified. All HOA's should consider hiring them

Thanks to Valencia Management Group, who contacted my HOA and helped to resolve my issues. I want personally thank Karen, who works at Copper Hill office, for getting involved and taking care of ongoing issue. If I would have relied on the manager (who never returns calls nor responses on my emails) the problem would not be solved.

BEWARE! This management company is HORRIBLE! Berta in the office is an absolute disaster of a human being and Lisa Hoffman is one of the rudest people I have ever spoken to, and should not be employed.anywhere! She does not know the first thing about customer service or management. To the owners of this company, what is wrong with you, can you not find any other employees because the ones you have are awful! LOOK ELSEWHERE EVERYBODY.

To describe the professionalism of Ms Peggy, I have to tell people not only what happened, but how it happened. Peggy sent me a note that I needed to pay $750 because I damaged the new asphalt pavement. I received the notice after I came back from an overseas trip. The date of the event was one of the dates I was out of town. I requested a hearing.

When I went to the meeting room, 5-6 people were sitting on one side. I had to sit in a small chair facing them in a distance like a criminal. I remember thinking what those people are? How could they treat me like a criminal? Even for a traffic ticket, the police would need to check driver's license, give a ticket and a body camera to record the event to present it to the court.

I assumed that the only lady among those people was Peggy and others were board members. I recalled that each time when the HOA sent residents the list of candidates of the board, they always purposely place those who have served a long time before the new candidates. Obviously those are their favorite with some kind of unspoken codes between them.

I gave my roundtrip international airline tickets to one board member next to me. He looked at it carefully and passed it to Peggy. Peggy didn't bother to look at the dates of the tickets. She directly passed the tickets to the man sitting at the center. That man seemed confused on what he should do the next. After a minute, he asked Peggy to pass him a picture.

He asked me while showing the picture, was this your car? He was holding the picture but did not gave it to me. It was not my car. I replied. I also saw the car was parked on the curbside of my neighbor. I live in a cul-de-sac. Houses are next to each other. To cover up the embarrassment, Peggy said to the man in a low voice. She said the picture was taken a day after the event.

I told the board that my son came to my house from San Francisco the day after the event. He came because the HOA sent me an email complaining the tree in my backyard attracted bees. I have copy of his plane tickets. When he took a Uber from the airport to my house, he didn't see any sign or stopping line. The paving had already completed. When he checked my mail, he didn't find any notice from the HOA about the pavement job.

I think my quoting of my son's words agitated Peggy, as it would indicated her responsibility. A week later, Peggy sent me a letter that I still need to pay because my son damaged the pavement. She said she had a witness reporting seeing a white car driving in before the paving was completed. Now let's analyze Peggy's words. If she had a witness, the person would know if the driver was male or female. Peggy jumped from accusing me to my son.

I am 5'6, 130 lbs. My son is 6', 180 lbs. Didn't the witness tell her the driver was a male or female? My car is Cadillac CTS, much longer than the economy car in her picture. The color of the car in her picture was pure white. My car is off white, sort of like the butter color. I have never parked car on the curbside. it is always in the garage.

I did not leave the car key at home. My son took uber, stayed one night, and then called another uber to the airport. Additionally, if someone drove a car crossing the unfinished pavement, my driveway would have left asphalt trace. My driveway was clean. I took pictures of my and several neighbors' driveways for them to compare. I also took pictures of tire traces on the asphalt toward some of the houses.

I sent those pictures to the board. But Peggy was not interested at all in figuring out what really happened. My question is who Peggy thinks herself is? Even a law enforcement agent will need to present the evidence to a judge before taking actions. If someone caused a damage, she should call police to the scene to record the incidence. Or she should take the evidence to a small claim court.

Who gave a HOA agent such power to determine whom she could charge based on a faked photo and probably a faked witness? I was aware that at least two board members quit after this. Obviously they didn't agree with Ms. Peggy's action. And obviously Peggy would not listen to the opinions of these board members.

I've lived in the Bridgeport community for 8 years. Valencia Management Group is the organization managing our HOA. I would like to say, this group is racially biased, rude, and extremely unprofessional. Specifically, a lady named Peggy who has been in charge. During these eight years, I've had several unpleasant interactions with this organization.

I am an Asian American. I believe that was the reason why I had these encounters. A few years ago, when I came back from an overseas business trip, I received a notification from this organization. It stated that I would be charged with $750 fine because my car ruined the asphalt when the HOA was reparing the pavement where my house was located. I went to the HOA biweekly meeting and showed them the plane ticket that I was on an overseas trip during that period. Peggy presented a photo with a white car parked along the side of my house.

She claimed there were witnesses seeing this car drove on the unfinished asphalt. I told them it was not my car. A few days later, they sent me another notice that it must be my son who ruined the pavement. Although my son was not an owner, according to the HOA policy, the owner would be responsible to the damages caused by their family members. I told them my so was in Berkeley and he didn't own a car.

I took several pictures on the asphalt tracks leading to other houses. But they refused to investigate or take off the charge. Only after I wrote them a letter telling I would take this matter to the LA Equal Housing Department, then they stopped harassing me. But they never admitted they were wrong. Last year, a tree in my backyard grew too big. Its stem touched the wall.

I was planning to remove and replace it. Although it was in my backyard, I still notified this organization. I also asked them if they could provide or recommend a service to do the job. The reply was it was in my backyard that was not their business. While I was searching an arborist to do the job, I received an official letter from Peggy that if I didn't remove the tree promptly, I would be responsible to the consequences.

When I moved in 8 years ago, I tried to erect a trellis in my backyard, the same as many of my neibors. The contractor notified the HOA, but they refused to approve such a project. So I gave up. A few months ago, a neighbor moved. The new owner started a construction job in his backyard. That included placing a cover on the patio and building a new structure.

It has been an ongoing project for three months now. Myself had a project to pave a dirt sidewalk in my backyard. I sent a notification to Peggy in May but never received any response. At the end of May after my pavement project completed, I received a notice from the HOA that they were aware I placing a cover on patio. The notice said it was not allowed because such project would depreciate the value of houses in the community.

I called the HOA and told them that they'd mistaken. The owner who put on a cover on the patio was my new neighbor. The HOA representative told me it was non of my business that the another owner putting a cover on the patio. She then hang up.

For the last ten years, we've had the pleasure and honor to have Kristi Vitale as our Community Service Representative for Southern Oaks in Stevenson Ranch. Kristi has always been pleasant, understanding, professional, attentive and extremely patient in listening and helping us address and resolve our issues and concerns. She's always upbeat and an absolute pleasure to speak with. We're moving, so we'll definitely miss Kristi. Kristi, thanks for all your assistance over the years, you are awesome!

As a homeowner my overall experience dealing with Valencia Management company is not favorable. Management is difficult to deal with as they have poor customer service skills and they do not listen to the needs of the community they serve.

Of course, you would know our new home will bring us joy. YOUR businesses and the rest of your minions made a point of harassing us, destroying our property, spread rumors about us and gave out legal documents to other homeowners in an attempt to ruin us. We weren't the only families singled out. You've done it to other and then posted a blog about your conquest.

Ever since you got involved with our community you depleted the revenues by facilitating the horrible contracts of the community. We've moved on but, you and a few others are stuck in your misery. There's a DSM-5 code for people like you.

This is for the Cheyenne HOA that is through Valencia Managment. Berta and Lisa are very rude and unprofessional. I simply emailed them with a simple question and got a huge run around that was completely unnecessary. I got a lot of child like attitude that was uncalled for. They need to hire people with communication and customer service skills. Good luck to those who need to reach out to them.

This is the absolute worst business ever created! They're extremely rude (Berta) and I've been paying the damn HOA fees for 6 months now, which mind you should've included a pool key since I purchased the house. They gave me the run around claiming they didn't have any (which was a lie because the previous owner turned their key in before moving out) took 6 months to retrieve the pool key which we rightfully paid for in August and here we are in mid December finally recieving it after we've sent multiple emails and phone calls. I wish we didn't have to deal with this pathetic of a business as our hoa management. I would rather eat my own sh*t.

Valencia Management Group deserves negative stars. NO stars would be too much. Our HOA fees increased by 10% when our townhomes switched to VMG. So far it had been nothing but a disaster. Wrong emails sent, wrong fees charged, newsletters arrive after the meetings. They have managed to create problems where they had never existed. Waste of money! Stay away.

Well- I cannot express how efficient, detail oriented and helpful Kristi has been for us. In this crazy time, it really is refreshing to have someone that gets the work done despite COVID19. She goes above and beyond and cannot say enough about her. Please clone her = KRISTI VITALE is AWESOME!

I was unaware of the no parking 2am-6am policy because I am a guest visiting my grandmother. When I spoke with the neighbors, they told me that they usually issued verbal warnings or gave out citations, before towing the car. However, my car was towed without any previous citations or warnings. When I spoke to the representative Darlene, she told me that records indicated that I was given one warning before.

I told her no warning or citation had been communicated to me or my grandmother, and she told me the system showed they had issued a warning one time before and she couldn't do anything. I am extremely upset that no leniency was given to us although the neighbors claim that they have received multiple warnings/citations and were never even charged a huge amount of $180 that we were charged. Darlene seemed annoyed that I dared to even speak to her about such an "obvious policy".

She only coldly responded that the system showed a warning so I had to deal with the tow, and that I could possibly ask for a refund later in August if I wanted at the board meeting.

Where to begin. First off, is it standard practice that every person working at a property management company lack a soul? Is it the same as being a politician? You just BS your way through your day, soulless, and void of any humanity? If so, you should work at Valencia Management Group! We recently had to deal with the Creek Fire and our town home had been damaged. Was the HOA helpful?

Not in the least. They have turned tragedy into a living hell. Further victimizing the victims of a natural disaster. If anyone there had a conscious they would feel shame. But, not these guys! Oh no. It's almost as if they revel in making feel like you're living at the DMV. Our door was damaged by the brave fire fighters having to kick the door in to put out a fire that broke out on our balcony.

They saved the unit! But the after math has been worse. It took more about two weeks to get a yes or no answer about who was responsible for the cost of the exterior stucco around our door frame. The door frame needs to be replaced, as well as the door. Our insurance has been great, all they wanted to know was if the HOA was responsible for the exterior stucco or if we were.

A simple question. you would think. But not for VMG, oh nooooo. I asked, and asked, and asked. And every answer I was given the run around. I was grilled about what I was doing, again, and again, interrogated. As if our attempts to secure our home, make it safe, and fix the door was somehow a sinister crime in need or persecuting. I was ordered to submit an application to be reviewed about what door we are going to replace our broken door with.

A door NO ONE--and I mean NO ONE--can see unless you are trespassing. That's right, no one is able to see our front door, unless you have gone through our gate and walked down as long walkway past our garage, turn left and step up to the front of it. Not passing cars, not passing pedestrians, NO ONE can see the front door. Not even drones flying overhead.

But we must ask permission to fix a broken front door. As if a broken door is more suitable than a fixed front door. that no one can see. A brown, wood door, that matches the exterior. But still, NO answer about who is responsible for the stucco. Weeks passed, I FINALLY received an answer to my simple yes or no question. The answer. Yes! Wow, was that so hard to say? Yes, FINALLY after what seemed like an eternity of back and forth emails to get a simple answer to a simple question, it was yes.

So I should be happy, no? Well, you see a few months earlier I received a claim against our property. I was going to be fined! Fined for some stucco on the exterior that was dilapidated. This damage had existed since before we moved in and when purchasing the place we were told by the previous owners and realtor that the HOA covered this. We looked over the CCR and it seemed clear, the HOA covered the exterior damaged stucco.

So we were very confused when we were being threatened with a fine if we didn't address the issue immediately. So I fixed the stucco on our exterior wall. Yet now that I have an insurance company involved all of a sudden, they cover the exterior stucco. So what happened when I asked about recouping the cost for fixing the stucco. radio silence! Thanks, Denise! You've been SOOOO helpful, you're like a bureaucrat or a DMV employee.

This place is the worst. It's honestly, nightmarish. We will be putting our home up for sale this summer after we fix all the damage from the fire and NEVER buying in a place managed by this terrible company again. The ONLY people giving them great reviews are realtors who are on HOA boards (cause that's not a conflict of interest or anything, Ukraine/Russia. HELLO?) Who exploit that position and relationship with the management company for their own personal profit.

And don't get me started on how they budget or their CPA. What a joke. They have suggested we take out a HUGE 3 million dollar loan. do they talk about the risks? Are they honest and tell us what the collateral for such a loan would be? NOPE, they mislead, misdirect and basically lie. Trying to sell it as a good idea so they can fix things. Yeah. our personal homes are the collateral.

These people take advantage of California's litigious and complex laws and the ignorance of regular folks just trying to live in a home they worked hard to buy. Honestly what needs to happen is that this company needs to be seriously audited, and legal action needs to be taken against them. They are crooks that abuse the entire purpose of an HOA. They are disgusting and despicable.

I would give them 0 stars if permitted. Lisa never returned my calls. I left several detailed messages. So I spoke to Kayla instead.she was extremely rude. I only deal with them when absolutely necessary and only because they manage the Santa Fe condos. Apparently I'm not the only one they do this to.

This is the worst management company I dealt with. I have multiple rental properties, and one of them in the community Santa Fe in Valencia. They are either not responsive, or when respond, very rude. Especially Lisa Hoffman, the manager of the company. They will try to assess fines for things without any justification too. No respect for homeowners, no response on weekend emergencies.

I contacted VMG a year ago about landscaping issues. Some areas had been neglected for so long they became barren and piping was exposed. Unfortunately an entire year later nothing, not a single thing had been done. And it is disheartening to hear that it may not be taken care of due to budget issues. This request was not for something that was above and beyond. It was simply to maintain the standards of the area which had been neglected.

If I could give negative stars I would. Lisa Hoffmann is a nightmare to deal with. She is beyond unprofessional and does her best to make every situation in which we have to interact unbearable. I love my home, but am considering selling just so I never have to deal with and be harassed by her again. For example: I had told her about an issue on my front patio in which she never got back to me for months, then sent someone out against my direct email stating I would take care of it and then sent a bill for almost $1k.

I fought it at the HOA meeting with full email back up then the board supported her and said they would split it. She is unethical, unprofessional and about 90% or more of my neighbors feel that way. This is not the first issue I have had with her. I am not sure how she still has a job. It would be in your best interest to get someone else in her position.

I called about a month ago that there was a used drug soda can at our community pool. I was there this week and it is still there. VMG advised that they would alert the security service of this and will follow up. I was there this week and it is still there. Small children including my grandchildren use the pool and spa. I sent an email this week and no call back or email. I have been on the phone for 17 minutes and have not got a LIVE person.

We just moved into a community that VMG manages (a term I use loosely) and I am so disappointed with how true these negative reviews are. My husband and I have left a total of 8 voice mails for Kristy and Lori over the past 3 weeks without any response. We are hoping to have better success via email. Our inquiries are not serious, but they don't know that, and Lord help us if there was a serious issue.

Our previous home was also part of an HOA, in a terrible part of town, with lots of issues, and we never had this much trouble. What we gained in community we lost in property management.

It is our pleasure to write this review about the wonderful receptionist who we speak with each time we enter VMG's offices. I would also like to leave comment about Jaclyn and Scott - who have both been a pleasure to deal with on multiple occasions related to the quality of life in Bridgeport of Valencia. Both have been very receptive to our needs and with the handling of all our requests. We hope our next home, if it has an HOA, is being handled by Valencia Management Group, with Scott and Jaclyn in charge.

Michelle is great at following up on emails I send her. She is wonderful. I walk the neighborhood twice s day so I see lots to report to her. Broken sprinklers and mail boxes. She is on it right away sending me a confirmation she generated a work order. If the work does not get done in a reasonable time I let her know and she makes it happen pronto.

We were told by Kara Richards that our new pool key would be ready today, but when we dropped by to pick it up, the woman at the desk had no clue what was going on, said she would have to charge us and that we needed signatures we didn't have. We explained ourselves thoroughly, and she finally said, "ohhhhh". It would be nice if you could organize your office staff and supplies.

That would be helpful. We left with no key after she told us that ours must have been given away but she could no way give one of the other 70 keys she had right there. Awesome. Thanks for completely wasting our time with a smile :D
